Into the deep – part 01

“Eeeeeeyy! Eeyyyyy Car, wakeeeeeyyy!!!” there was a bellow just right outside his door and tiny hands banged on the wood, shaking up the bisharp from his slumber. With an annoyed groan Caradoc got up and tottered to the door.

“W-whaaahaaaat is it Miss Sadie?” yawned and rubbed his eyes. On the floor Sadie wagged her tail excited, she wasn't this hyped since her last errand she did alone.

“Today is the day! Finally they opening the dungeon. Come, we have to hurry!” she bounced and tugged on his hoof. With the determination and her excitement Caradoc couldn't argue with. He let out a sigh in resignation and rubbed the back of his helmet.

“Alright, alright. Just first let me pack u-”

“We aint got time fo' that! Let's go!” Sadie grinned and yanked on the hoof. The bisharp groaned, almost tripping up, but he had no choice, thus followed the gible outside their home. The sun just rose up, coloring the sky in orange and light blue.

Caradoc yawned again, then reached down and placed his partner onto his shoulder. With a light gallop entered the forest, heading to the newly made outpost where was the entrance of the lately discovered dungeon. They climbed down a ladder and, for their awe, they arrived to the first chamber. It was a big cave, decorated with stalagmites and rocky columns.

“Oh woaah. Hello!” yipped Sadie and an echo answered her.

“Ello...ello..llo...lo...” the sound made her chuckle.

“This is so funny.”

“Miss Sadie, don't forget why we are here. We have to take a look around and secure the place for further constructions.” reminded her Caradoc, yet he was also in awe by the beauty of the place. None of them ever seen a dungeon before.

“Pfff don't be a spoilsport, Caradoc, let enjoy this s bi-” Sadie's voice was distracted by a soft click under a step she made, and they heard a sudden sizzle.

“Miss Sadie, Watch out!” shouted Caradoc and tossed the gible away, who, with a yelp, fell onto her rump. From a secret hole fire blasted out, hitting the bisharp on the arm. The male shouted in pain and was forced to kneel down. “Dammit...!”

“Y-you okay, Caradoc?” Sadie wobbled closer in worry.

“Ngh yeah... just a little scorch. With some rawst berry-” grimaced the male, then looked at the other in annoyance “Oh yes I forgot, someone didn't let me to pack up my first aid kit!” scoffed in irony, making Sadie flinch.

“Ey eyyy, don't blame me.” shook her tiny arms. Caradoc sighed and with a wince took off his burnt gauntlet, in some place the skin became red and raw.

“Great... it seems this time you will have to fight instead of me.” he said, whereof Sadie's eyes grew really big and sparkled.

“Really? Wohooooo then I will show ya how awesome I can be! Let's go! We have some room to discover!” squealed with her echo and wobbled to the next path on the right. The bisharp hung his head, but followed her. Not really want to get into another serious trouble.
