Anatomy#37 - New Editing Process (Messy Version)

Description

This is the 37th drawing for the 1000 anatomy sketch challenge.
I drew this using this website www.quickposes.com/pages/rando…

Finally I have come up with a viable editing technique.
I would like to thank all the people who helped me achieve it:)
This drawing isn't a perfect example of this technique, rather this is the lazy it's-22:49 version of the editing process I will be using from now on.
(Until my scanner is working again, because seriously this is still a pain)

The idea is to up the contrast, while getting rid of the grey background (yuck!)
(I typically draw with one thing in the middle and the rest is just white space)
Then, I use a slightly transparent brush set to an off-white #fffffe then using that I select inverse, then I go over the background with that colour to get rid of the nasty grey-colour I hate so much. This has the added bonus of adding contrast between the image and the background without too much hassle.
I have my signature saved as a separate file which I sub-in later.
Like I said this is the lazy version, the background hasn't been coloured evenly and the selection around the image isn't all that great. But, given time it will become less lazy and a lot cleaner:)

In fact, this is very much like I used to do it on my old scanner, as that would always leave shadows across the image, but, this process is a little more complex due to the original image not having a great deal of contrast to the background, which made my life a little bit of a pain. Typically my scans were high-contrast already so I could just use a simple flick of a slider and then I was done:)

This was more complicated, but I have it worked out now, and I'm much happier with the overall quality:)

It is possible that you may not care about the quality of my images, and you may only care about my drawing, but I care, and I hate uploading images I deem sub-standard.

Therefore, my next image will be a cleaner version of this editing process and it should be back to a normal routine:)
Except, due to the increased input in my editing process uploads will be a lot less frequent, possibly only one a day.
I thank you for your patience:)
