Description

This is Isis, a half-Akh, half-Human Goddess initiated and founder of magic circles, ministeries and collectives. A strong-minded woman, decided to protect and fight for her own. She has a strong resolve, admnistrating her own businesses and as well learning and taking action on what she can, as seeing probabilities of perfecting the life experience of hers and others she cares about.
This is a drawing from my sketchbok about this character from Apkallu Mythos, loosely adapting the actual goddess from the Egyptian Mythology (lately being popularized into the Roman one, worshipped across great parts of the world until the 6th century, when monotheism vanquished the true religions across the world), a recurrent element in idearies up to this day.
As one of the rare-kind which are but the fruit of a joining of the Xnobius-manipulating Akh (carnivore mammals in humanoid shape with blazes for hair) and hominids from the areas surrounding Hut-Ka-Ptah (the Egyptian Thebes), she descends loosely from the African nomads who migrated from Sahara (which became a desert after Akh's descent) down to the Nile. The whole geographical and social event had to do with the Akhs finding a respite in this planet, after their homeworld was destroyed for war-crimes. Unjust as it seemed this penance, the Frashokeretian Galactic Alliance has forgotten this kind just after such events. It let them barely commune with the native humans, as aided by some foreign councillors. Those were equated by the natives as fulfilling the wills of ancient entities (Nut the night-sky, Geb the vivid earth and Shu the air of life). Chronpuchian Toth and Themisian Priestess Ma'at introduced the Ogdoad system to bond together the concepts with the presiding entity, Ra (who's no other than the Chronpuchian form of Aten - a pulsing heart of Hidden Elements which saved the starving peoples from Akh's radiation in first place). After that, it was conceived the roles of the sun deities (Khepri-Ra-Atum) as major and of others as local deities. However, the native tradition wasn't fully replaced by this alien concept of absolute truth and justice, so it was destined or foretold that the roles of the three primordials would resume someday. The mission on which had Toth calm down Tefnut (who's no other than Sekhmet influenced by a Pelasgean relic - having her, an Akh, controlling the Orichalcum, an element antagonic to her own) was nothing but a manner Aten had to avoid this re-birth of fulfilling.

Isis was then a highly reputed individual as a young follower of Nut. She walked the path of the goddess Hathor (which was kind of a personificator) and ended up calling the aid of the Per Aa council. Her older sister was already uncovering the secrets of Xnobius and herself controlling it (thus being closer to an Akh than Isis herself). She, on the other hand, was one of those who believed it could be somehow dangerous to the lives of those who weren't ready to control it. So she sought to harness alternative means of power. As a second generation arrived to the admnistration of the Per Aa council (right after the end of the Topakhon Wars), she had a chance to meet others like her, which as well believed in the same as her about the hidden elements. She even developed bonds with fellow half-human Osiris. In a political affair, her sister was married to Set, a former ruthless general of the Akh Army, that once the war has ended, was rendered with nothing but the wastelands to rule. As with other military-inclined godlings, he just wanted to show work for its sovereigns. So, all of Nephthys's knowledge was used in favor of war - that had even the transformation of some of her colleagues into a powerful warrior goddess (Neith). This provoked the fast colonization of the globe's underworld, almost revealing Aten (the one who summoned the Per Aa council to its formation, in first place).

Osiris, master to some southern oasis, was as well a colonizer of the underworld and competed with Set on the manners the Egyptian people should act with enemies' invasions and on Nubian captivity. But since Khepera has seen the end of the war an opportunity to make the Akhs rise again, this time without Topakar bureaucracy, and now even triggered by the armies of Anubis (who, as a son of Set was believed to have gathered a beast army to him - however, he had is own agenda and allegiances) crafting a new miltary force on the Sahara, Khepera has left open the aid of the Pharaoh. The pharaohs' family has been slaughtered by foreigners (the hyksos) and Khepera instilled revenge thoughts on the heir Ahmose to make he gather his own armies to follow him instead of Ra.

But there were a plenty more of sides in this war: Tritons invading the Egypt in search of Akhs, accusing them of tyranny due their never-lasting rivalry; Horus controlling the very relics which were handed down from Sekhmet, even learning of the Bennu bird which Set was trying to incorporate to himself; and also of a plan from a Goddess into breaking through the cosmic world order to avenge the Vovin kind. On the moment, Set learnt of his plans being spied by Horus, and believing he could even take word higher than Ra, slayed Osiris and took watch over his lands. Deemed as brothers due to the well-being of Egyptian State, now the Akh has taken the life of what was "half" of him. Deserted, Isis didn't found respite. Never tired of her search of acquiring the remnants of her lover, scattered across the Mediterranean and Nile, she'd increase her power beyond the conceivable.
On such occasions, she made many allies who empathically joined her cause. Among those, the Telchine Taweret (specially not war-monger as others from her kind), who taught her of the hidden elements; Ra himself (who had no way of survivng Khepera's attempt on his life than conceding some of his powers to the initiated goddess) and of Horus, who has seized the Bennu bird and was about to be reborn so he could fight Set on par.

Through Ra and the mountains he sent her to find about her husband (beyond Sobek's domains), she discovered means to save Osiris from certain death:
Mandragoreans are the border between plants and animals. Born as animals, they've eventually gained in their lives a symbiotic relation with a magic plant -a Mandragora- which permits them to become autotrophic beings, able to drain from light and humidity all they need to keep living. They're also able to communicate with other plant-based creatures, the 'Huaca' (called by several different names in other cultures). The mandragora itself becomes something which isn't a different being, but rather an organ which helps the mandragorean, and also can be mastered by it.

So, she could achieve a Mandragora and set it to Osiris. His body would fade with time, but his spirit would live on. If Horus succeeded in being reborn to a new body through the Bennu, so could such Mandragorean, and even other foreigners (such as the half-Akh half-Telchine Khnum proposed him) could help him creating "avatars". But for the first part, it was no easy task: Mandragoras certainly are gifts from the huehueyolcatl. The closest one was no other but the antagonical Apep, which was chained by Aten aeons ago. The reveals of his powers, and his conceding of them to her was a mean he himself predicted to have her hurt Apep before it could escape his grasp and join Chaos. For other reasons, other forces released the beast. Its release was the only way to acquire a Mandragora, even if forcefully. And it was in this "forcefully" that Aten-Ra had hopes for the goddess, to bring the serpent down and resume his dominion, put on jeopardy by two fronts: Khepera and the hyksos, through the schism and revenge from which Egypt was drawing its reigning ones.

On this drawing, she's depicted as taking the Lotus Mandragora from Apep. One couldn't know since how many days she's been tracking the beast, largest one in the known cosmos, as dwelling under the Mediterranean Sea, in direction to the Atlantic Ocean at full speed (but paradoxically, leisurely due its large body). Her retrieval of it saved her husband, achieved her a status as comparable to Toth in her order, and granted the Telchines Taweret and Khnum full role in the Per Aa council (which indirectly would start plans for the Xiuhcoatl Empire), starting its third generation. It had also been a side-force to which foiled Khepera's plan. The attack of Amon, the Apep's retreat and the earthquake which followed, made he lose power over the Mehen flux, restoring Ra to power. Anubis was no fool and sided with the new power, having settled his army to Horus' control. Ahmose would be guided by the newly-christened Amon to defeat the hyksos and start a new prosperous age for Egypt. Horus, as a prince of air, would resume the fight against Set and his fleeing army of rogues. And it would be Ma'at's council, deeply influenced by Isis' resolve and speech, that would ease the war through her and a new re-born Osiris, who in forgiveness would tie Set as a protector of Egypt's frontiers.

So, all in all, her role was that to fulfill the holy promise of Egypt's native rules restored. That however, was not even half of her story...
