I love your colouring technique, especially on the hands! Using different colours rather than just skin tone really gives the piece realism. I'd say you did very well on the folds in her clothes, though I'm not really the one to comment on that since I'm not good with clothes myself.

I love the expression on her face. It gives the feeling of positivity through even the worst of times, which is very relatable to most people. Even though the light and warmth from one candle isn't much, it's enough to push you through. I like how you included other unlit candles, it gives me the impression of burnt out hope, which to me, could symbolise what other people seem like to her.

What I'd think would really make this piece stand out even more would be to increase the amount of shadows, especially in the background; possibly even on the girl herself, increasing the contrast under her chin, bangs, etc to minimise the light and make the little light that there is stand out. I think this would really push foward the theme of struggle and holding onto hope, as well as it would add dimension.
