'The Day The Music Died'

I did this political cartoon (15 years ago) to note
the passing of one of the world's greatest cartoonists

The relationship between Lucy & her beloved Schroeder, 
with his toy piano (& ever-present bust of Beethoven)
was the inspiration for this cartoon tribute to Schulz.

It's hard to believe it's been 15 years since Schulz passed away.
His daily newspaper cartoon strip "Peanuts"

introduced us to a beloved gang of lil' children (& pets!)
which included Linus, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, Sally, Schroeder,
the indomitable Charlie Brown and his pet beagle Snoopy!

I grew up reading "Peanuts", and Schulz inspired
me to draw cartoons.  I laughed at so many of the
adventures of Snoopy, Charlie Brown and his friends.
