Star Warrior Robby Issue 5: From Defeat to Resolve

After a devastating defeat from Dasien, Star Warrior Robby has been brutally injured. In a fast pace, Florence has sent him to the hospital to meet with Alexis Rosewater, the hospital's top medic.

Alexis: Oh. Hello Miss Simmons. It's been a long time since...*interrupted by the worried Florence*

Florence: *rushing* Talk later! This is an emergency!

Florence whisked Alexis to her car to check on Robby's injuries. Alexis was shocked by what she has saw and quickly calls the nurses to bring in the stretcher to carry Robby away into the emergency room.

Alexis: We'll try the best we can to help Robby. I'll call you and let you know by tomorrow.

Florence: *grateful* Thank you, Alexis.

A day has passed, and Florence got the call from Alexis. Then, she turns to Arthur and the others about the news.

Florence: Robby's going to be alright. Though, the cracked spine will take some time to mend.

Arthur: Yikes. Well, its still good that he'll be okay, right?

Florence: Yes. His body will be okay. But, I'm not sure about his pride. That loss was really overwhelming for him.

Arthur: Hmm.

Florence: Of course, besides his reckless behavior, that whole situation wasn't ALL his fault.

Florence turns to the twins, Olivia and Melody, crossly. The twins felt terrible for what they did before.

Olivia: Hey, we said we were sorry.

Melody: Yeah, how were we supposed to know that Superhawke would get the jump on us?

Florence: *angry* NO EXCUSES! You're both relieved of your drivers licences for week.

Twins: WHAT?!

Florence: *serious* Wanna try for two?

Twins: N..no, Florence.

Arthur: And if you think that's bad, how does no free shoeshines for a week sound to you?

Twins: *in tears* NO!! SAY IT AIN'T SO!!

Arthur: Anyway, is it okay for us to pay a visit to him?

Florence: Yes, we will stop by in the evening. They'll be done with the operation by then, and should give Robby more time to rest.

Meanwhile, back at the hospital, its already evening and Florence and the others stopped by to see Robby. Florence stayed behind to spend time with Alexis, whereas Arthur and the twins visited Robby in the room.

Arthur: Hey, dude.

Twins: *tears of joy* You're okay! *runs to hug Robby*

Robby: *laying on his bed and became happy to see everyone* Hehe! Hey guys. Sorry for the worry.

Arthur: Don't worry. We're just glad you're alive.

Melody: Robby, we are so sorry for getting ourselves caught before.

Olivia: You got us caught. I just got talked into it.

Robby: *giggles* Don't worry about it. As long as you two are safe.

Robby suddenly becomes a little depressed after being reminded of his terrible loss to Dasien.

Arthur: Still feel bad about that loss, huh?

Robby: You have no idea. I didn't think it would turn out like that.

Florence: You never did.

Florence arrives, then walks to Robby.

Robby: Oh. Hey, Florence. *chuckles nervously* I see you got the twins back safely. I wish I thought of that a little more after leaving one of my watches behind to send Superhawke to the lab. But, at least things turned out okay, right?

Florence was so furious, she slapped Robby in the face. Arthur and the twins were shocked, and so was Robby.

Robby: *confused* Wha...What was that for?

Florence: *furious* You think this is a joke?! You could've been killed back there. You really let your confidence go to your head. Cutting down half your power, expecting to win a fight against Dasien after beating the last seven super heroines? What the heck were you thinking?

After seeing how Florence reacted, Robby felt terrible.

Robby: You're right, Flo. I was reckless and overconfident back there. I'm really sorry.

Florence: ~sighs~ *calms down while adjusting her glasses* No. You were only doing what you had to do, and you gave me and Arthur an opportunity to save my sisters, despite not thinking farther ahead. So I can't be too harsh about it. I think your broken spirit did most of that to you already. Am I right?

Robby felt even more terrible.

Robby: Yeah. Dasien was really strong. Beyond anything I've ever faced before, with or without my full power. I still want to fight Dasien and save her from Dr. Iggman's control. But after that experience, I don't know what I'll do.

Florence: *puts hand on Robby's face* Don't worry about it. I'm still working on the repairs for your Star Watches. But, I'm also working on upgrade as well.

Robby: An upgrade?

Florence: Yes. It's complicated working with alien technology, but I'm still working my best just to help you. When I'm done, chances are that you'll be as strong as Dasien for your rematch.

After a glimmer of hope, Robby was delighted to hear the news.

Arthur: But first, after you rest here for a while, you'll need to do some training to be ready.

Robby: Right. Thanks, guys. I won't let you all down again.

And so everyone agreed and felt better afterwards. A few days later, Robby came back home from the hospital, fully healed. Suddenly, Robby sees Superhawke and the other super heroines, meeting him. He was happy to see them all okay after Florence's operation.

Robby: Wow, talk about a warm welcome. What's going on here?

Superhawke: We heard about what happened between you and Dasien.

Maxine: So we thought we'd pitch in and help you train while you wait for your weapons to be repaired.

Robby: Really? That's awesome!

Echo: Hey. It's the least we can do after you saved all of us from Iggman.

Rita: Dasien is really tough. So we're gonna have to make you tougher.

Robby: Then, in that case, let's get started and break the limits.

Everyone agreed and Robby's training began. Unfortunately, Ella decided to step out and watch. She's still shy after her embarrassing defeat by Robby before. But, she still gives support to him. 

Through two weeks of rigorous training to improve his skills, Star Warrior Robby is becoming much stronger than before thanks to the super heroines. Meanwhile, Florence arrived and told him that she finished working on the Star Watches, and showed him the upgrade she promised him. He was amazed by what he saw in Florence's computer. What is that new upgrade Florence made for him? That answer soon will come in another story.
