First Ponies - Midnight Fairytale and Stormeye

Just putting together small things I'm finding on my comp while I wait for the times where I can work on commissions.  

These were the very first two MLP characters I ever came  up with.  You guys have already seen Midnight Fairytale plenty, but my other main pony has to be Stormeye.  I'm also doing redesigns of my old characters, so Stormeye's design has changed slightly from the last ref I put up of him.

EDIT:  So I'm just gonna put a small bio about each of them here.  Doing these is faster than making a whole ref sheet, so I'll be trying to do these for my main characters.  Sorry to bother you with this, please ignore if you aren't interested.

Personality: Midnight is an imaginative pony who loves to entertain those around her.  She's not extremely outgoing (to the point of just saying hello to random ponies), she has no problem talking to somepony if she needs directions or something of that sort.  Midnight is quick witted and has a slight mischievous streak in her.  
She has a lot of confidence in what she does and normally doesn't like to tell lies, but may unwittingly resort to it under pressure.  Midnight dislikes when ponies question her knowledge, especially when it's something she's very confident she knows, and she can get rather defensive about it. 

Bio:  Midnight is a dreamer.  She's got a great imagination and always loves to put that to use.  Growing up she had a love of stories, both mystical and historical.  The fact that so many things could happen and these events could be brought to others through the power of words was something she was always fascinated by.  
Nowadays she uses her illusion magic to try and bring that wonder to others.  During her tales of dragons and fantasy she can create images for others to see.  She would be able to disguise herself and others, using her illusions to trick ponies' minds, but that holds no interest for her. Midnight's interests lie with entertaining folks, not tricking them.  The most you'll get aside from stories is the occasional prank on her friends.

Midnight also has a bad habit of stretching the truth.  Her family owns a circus and as such she traveled a lot when she was a filly.  Her knowledge of the world is vast, and she's prideful of that.  But if her knowledge is questioned and she doesn't know she'll instinctively fill in the gaps.  This can be attributed to her experience as a show pony and not wanting a lapse in a story.  When she was little and still learning her illusion magic her dad would help her practice by telling stories.  Most of the story would be the same every time they ran through it and they put on small shows for the foals.  But sometimes her dad would try to trip her up and throw in some random event or creature that wasn't there before.  It helped her practice thinking on the fly and making sure that the story flowed without interruption.  Thanks to this she's very good at imagining and conjuring nearly anything, but it's also leaked over into her normal life.      

Growing up she didn't have many friends around her age.  After all, a circus travels around and it's hard to make friends that way.  So she's used to keeping herself entertained and she's not one to try and run to friends when she's in trouble.

Midnight currently lives in the library of Yokeshire Falls with her uncle, Spellscar.  Due to his extreme researching habits the books haven't been sorted in years and are piled everywhere under a layer of dust.  She's been allowed to stay there to study myths and stories for free, but she has to clean up the place.  That's going to take a while......

Bio: Stormeye is one of the most dependable ponies around and he's loyal to a fault.  When he was a young colt his father disappeared into a raging storm from the sea.  Ever since then he's taken it upon himself to bear the weight of the world on his shoulders and support his mother and younger brother.  He takes in all in stride and perseveres, even when he tends to bite off more than he can chew.  
Due to his headstrong nature it's very difficult to convince Stormeye to participate in anything he doesn't want to.  This also leads him to be very stubborn and defensive.  The only thing that can break him out of this is the supernatural.  Stormeye has a great fear of ghosts and paranormal things that cannot be explained.
Stormeye's wings are rather large making him a strong flier.

How they know each other:  Childhood friends, kind of.  
The circus came to town when Stormeye was just a colt and his father took him.  During one of the performances he noticed a small unicorn disappearing from under the podium where they had just done a magic show.  He snuck off and found Midnight.  They were quick friends back then but Midnight had to leave.  Now she's back in town and Stormeye doesn't know how to feel about that.  ;3
