Dwaahhh EqG Rainbow Dash (Exhausted) Plz  I'm so exhausted... but I finally finished my new pic. It took ma about 13 hours and I'm so proud of that fact that I've resisted that time :iconsuperw00tplz:
This is point commission for my dear friend :iconagloriouscomeback: of her awesome Alli :la:
I really love her female OC so much, that I thought she needed a special pic for it Fool Emoji-11 (Hurray for you and me) [V1]
I hope I did everything right :) I have to say that she was pretty hard for me to draw. She has so muuuch details that it took me about 3 hours to finally draw her Emote W00t
As I remember someone gave me advice in my previous pics, that I should practice drawing rocks. I hope they look okay :dummy:

As for the Alli, after reading her Ref I decided to draw her at the cliff (i know that she's scared of heights :XD:) but she loves being alone and I think it is a perfect place to be alone :D

I hope you like it :squee:

Made with: Photosop CS5, Paint Tool Sai, Paper, Pencil
Tablet: Bamboo Pen&Touch
Time taken: about 13-15 hours

This is a neat piece. The My Little Dragon Pony is very interesting - I don't know if this is an original character or a fan art. The blue light on the legs and underneath make it look cybernetic, which I'm fine with. Makes the whole character somewhat enigmatic.

I also like the composition - hanging out on the cliff's edge, enjoying the sunrise.

Some things that strike me - the tail seems to be in front of the tree when it should be behind it. The tree scale is off compared to the distance that the root is implying. I think part of it has to do with the different technique used for the tree as opposed to the dragon. The tree has smooth blended features at the base of the root but then the trunk has the single lines like hair. Compare to the mostly solid colors and subtly blended shading on the dragon, especially the tail. I think the tree could do with having a blending like you did with the start of the roots at the bottom.

Small note as well on the tree (the curse of such a high definition image - I downloaded it to get a better look) - the hole in the tree has ghosts of the lines you drew along the truck. You should get in there and make sure those remnants are fully removed.

Also the grass lines along the cliff rocks are not delineated enough. I love the grass itself - good technique and nice color schemes. But it doesn't mesh with the rock line very well. It's good in the distance near the far tree, but then the small set of cliff rocks just below that and the foreground rocks it looks like the grass was arbitrarily draped over the rocks without making sure it followed the logic of the underlying ground.

Overall a very good work! I love the tree leaves and descending vines. Love the grass, and the rocks are fairly well done (I saw you mention that your rocks were critiqued before - I would maybe add just a tad more outline on the tops of the rocks that are sitting on the ground, like with the cliff edge rocks). And I like the serene look on the dragonhorse. I imagine I'd look like that if I was in such an idyllic setting.
