Biography:

Tofuku, aka “Tofu”, was born in a well known family in Japan, the “Mashizune Family”. She has an elder sister named Taiko Mashizune, which is 2 years older than her. As a kid of 4 years, her parents learned that Tofu had quite a talent in arts. She was encouraged by her parents to keep doing what she’s doing, if she really wanted it. Her parents were very supportive to her and her sister. They would often buy art stuff for her and cooking stuff for her “Onii-chan”, because her sister really loves cooking. Both of them were taught by their parents on how to enhance their skills. Even if they were busy with business, her Mama and Papa would buy some time just to be with the both of them. They were like this all the time. They were a happy and peaceful family. WERE. Until that time came. When their parents..

 

Left them..

 

It was the 31^st of December, a day after Tofu’s birthday. The whole family decided to celebrate both her and her sister’s birthday that day (because Taiko’s birthday is on January 1). There were already plans on where they would go and what they would do, but sadly, it didn’t happen. At the last minute of preparation for that day, her father suddenly received a call. After talking and, oddly, arguing over the phone, her father placed it down on the sofa with a sad face. He announced that the trip will be canceled because the company their parents were working on suddenly called them and asked, no, said that they must go to the airport by noon and take the second flight to France. This was a sudden client plan, and they couldn’t say no. After this, Tofu only nodded in response while her sister said, “Ok! There’s always a next time, right?” with a small smile.

 

After talking to her parents and saying her goodbyes, she and her sister quietly went upstairs. It was already noon, and they just finished eating with their parents before they took off. They both knew that their parents would come at night, because this is what they told them. But tomorrow came, and their parents still wasn’t there. Her sis said,”Maybe they’re just late?” and both of them sat quietly on the porch. Tofu looked at her sister and seeing that she’s slightly sad, she asked her,”Onii, why ish yow lips down?”. Her sis then answered with a smile, “Onii, don’t be shaad! I’m heeew fow you!” She was still unable to speak clearly at that age, but her sis understood her clearly. Her sis grabbed her arm and said, “Hey, wanna cook something for mama and papa?” Tofu then answered with a high pitched, energetic voice, “Ok!”, and went into the kitchen with her sis. They finished cooking at exactly 7pm and waited for their parents to come, but 3 hours later, there were still no sign of them. At last, her sister said,”Hey, why don’t we eat ahead of them? Maybe they got stuck in a traffic and won’t be here until later. Also, I’m kinda hungry. Haha!”. Tofu agreed and after saying ‘Ittadakimasu!’, they both dug in. Halfway of eating, the doorbell suddenly rang. Her sister went for the door while Tofu waited for her but after some time, her sis still hasn’t come back. Out of curiosity, Tofu went for the door and noticed that it was open. She went outside to check for her sister , but what she saw in front of her shocked her. At the gate stood her sister and Aunt. Both..

 

CRYING..

 

“Onii!”, she ran towards her sister and hugged her, “Why ish onii cwaying?”. Her sister didn’t respond and instead, hugged her tightly, still crying loudly. She looked curiously to her aunt and said, “Why are chu cwaying too? And where’s mama and papa?”, this, for some unknown reason, made her aunt and sister cry more, which left her confused. She was about to ask again, when her sister spoke up, and what she said surprised her so much, so much that she, too, began crying.

 

“Tofu chan, mama and papa may not be going home now, or ever again. They left us already, together with Mr Plane who crashed.”

 

Being the smart child she is, Tofu understood this perfectly. And she couldn’t believe it. She asked her aunt if this was really true, and her only answer was the same.

 

“Y-yes, Mr p-plane crashed. A-and your mama and papa won’t come b-back again. I-i-I’m s-so sor-ry..”, her aunt said, stuttering while crying again. After hearing this, Tofu and Taiko’s cries became louder, both saying something that broke their aunt’s heart:

“Mama, papa, where are you? Come back, please..”

And they both collapsed out of extreme depression.

 

After the incident, they were adopted by their childless aunt and uncle. It was hard for them, but after so many years, they finally accepted the truth.

That their family won’t be complete, ever again.

 

After 2 years, Tofu started going to school. At first, everyone was nice to her and she had many friends, but when she became top of the class, she was suddenly ignored. Nobody talked to her, no one wanted to be with her. Someone even said that she’s a “show off” and a “cheater”, but she learned to just “cope with it”. She never told these things to her sister ans aunt, for they’re both super protective. But secrets can’t stay secrets forever, right?

 

One time in school, she suddenly heard someone talking in the gardens. Being the curious girl she was, she stopped on her tracks and listened to them. She heard something that angered her for the very first time. A student in there said, “Tofuku is such a pain! A cheater! What a nasty girl! Maybe her mother’s like that too!” Hearing the word ‘Mother’ was enough to make her explode in anger and attack them. As a result, she was sent to the office with her aunt and sister. This was the time when they learned about how the students were treating her. They were so angry that Tofu had a hard time to keep them from attacking every student and staff in that school. In the end, the only thing they could do was to transfer her to another school.

 

In her new school, she wasn’t bullied anymore. She’s already at her 5^th grade when she transferred, that’s why she didn’t have that much time there. But one thing’s for sure, she was able to enhance her art skills there more. She graduated as a Valedictorian and as a pupil with many medals (that she won from contests)there. She peacefully graduated with her newfound ‘friends’!

 

After graduation, she decided to take in her Mother’s tip. She “Followed her Dreams” and tried to get in her “Dream school”:

 

“Rikuruto Gakuen”

 

She stood in front of the school shouting,”I hope I get accepted. No. I won’t hope. I’ll believe! Yeah!  I believe I can get in! Yosh!” and fist pumped in the air, which made her fellow transferees look at her like she’s some crazy girl.

    ·         She often says “Hai!” instead of “Yes!”

    ·         Absolutely DO NOT anger her. She turns into a monster when that happens.

    ·         She likes skirts and long socks.

    ·         Whenever there’s tests and she didn’t study, she always feel like she lost something.

    ·         She would stay up late at nights just to finish the Anime she’s watching.

    ·         She’s easily cheered up.

    ·         It doesn’t seem like it, but she sometimes does pranks. (impressive and funny ones too)

    ·         (Psst, she likes puppies)

    ·         She can forever eat without getting fat. (fast metabolism. I know.)

    ·         She can finish a large box of chocolates in a day.

    ·         She tells no one that she doesn’t have parents anymore. (well, she tells her close friends but that’s it.)

    ·         She’s a shorty. (Tofu: No I’m not! *pout*)

 

What would you like to say to other students?:

Hearing only the tapping of shoes on the corridor, a girl walks towards a room. This must be her classroom. She opens the door and sees everyone turning their heads to her direction. She is asked to come in and introduce herself. She walks in and stands infront of the class, saying:

“Hello! I’m Tofuku Mashizune! But just call me Tofu! Pleased to meet you! *bows*”
