Personality:
Courageous- Shasta is known for being the first to dive into a situation head first. She will never back down from a fight and has had many close encounters with large beasts. Her courageousness does have its perks though seeing as she will fight head on with her herd rather than run off to hide.
Daring- Shasta loves adventure and whenever a new quest arises she will be the first to this adventure, ears high and tail wagging. Because of this fascination towards adventure, most adults or elders see her as a childish fawn barely old enough to survive on her own. She loves finding new trinkets and goodies and because of this it has brought up probably her worst trait. (explained below)
Empathetic- Because of not having the greatest background ever, Shasta has become more in tune with her herdmates' feelings. She has seen every issue imaginable in her background and knows just how to help out the ones she cares most about. She will always be her friend's shoulder to cry on and is well adapted to being right there for a hurt herdmate.
Loyal- Loyal to a fault, Shasta is the one that will fight till death to protect the ones she cares most about. She is motherly in this sense and will stick by any fawns side through thick and thin even with it being extremely broken or even ill. She will not let a friend die on her watch and would rather lose her life then let a friend lose theirs.
Greedy- This trait arose when she found her first trinket. The way it sparkled in the sunlight just made her urn for more and to this day she is always seen hoarding these gems. All objects, not just gems, that are shiny or blue catch Shasta's eye and if not around another Fawnling's neck or in their possession, she will swipe it.
Sulky- When she doesn't get her way, Shasta gets a bit sulky. She rarely gets this way and most of the time keeps her cool but when she does get sulky, she is the most depressing creature you'll meet. She prefers to stay away from the herd when this happens and moves into a clearing she found when she was younger. When she's in this clearing she starts to scrape little holes in the ground, leave deep gashes in the trees with her hooves and antler, etc.
Vain- When not keeping a close eye on one of her friends or a fawn, Shasta is the most vain Fawnling you'll ever meet. She is extremely full of herself and, occasionally, sees her self as being higher ranking then the elders. This is where her childish nature comes from, when talking about herself she make it sound like she's the bully and everybody else is her nerd. Even with loving ego-tistical guys, she needs a more meek character to keep her ego in check.
Appearance: She wears a lapis gem around her neck from the first item she ever found. Her fur is dark with a long mane that falls loosely over her right eye. Her dark fur catches the eyes of many males because of how dark and mysterious it seems to be, as if she was apart of the Blackwood herd.
History: Shasta grew up in a herd of bachelors because of her mother leaving her with her father after being born. Growing up, Shasta was treated as another male and watched her herdmates and their wrestling. She was treated equally for the longest time but when her first estrus kicked in, everything went downhill for her. Her father chased her out of the herd so nothing unwanted would happen to her. On her own and scared, Shasta ran into the Windborne herd and was welcomed into it because of her great speed and magic skills. Now she has grown a lot since being chased from her original herd and has become one of the herd's soldiers.
