Here are some Frequently asked Questions regarding the NSDTR Club.

- 1. Can I join the club if I don't have a NSDTR? -

Yes! Please join even if you don't own a toller!
We are more than welcome for anyone to join and watch the Club if you have an interest in the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever breed.

- 2. Can I join the club with another breed? -

Yes, however we are only accepting a limited number of other gundog breeds at this time.
A list of the accepted breeds is found on the front page of the NSDTR Club.

- 3. Are Created Breeds allowed to join? -

At this time, we are not accepting any created breeds. If you have a created breed that specialises in Retrieving, Pointing or similar Gundog traits, please message us and we can discuss entry to the club.

- 4. Do you have a ranking or point system within the club? -

We do not currently have a ranking system, however we will be implementing a Point System to go along with the Sporting Trials and Conformation Events run by the club. These points will be counted towards the Championship Certificate awarded by the club.

- 5. If I have an accepted breed what can / can't I do within the club with my dog(s)? -

If you own one of the accepted breeds (that is not a NSDTR) you are more than welcome to use our club as another way to earn sporting titles.
There will be monthly Sporting Trials (the event changing each month) to which you may enter your dog(s), you will not be able to enter any breed specific events run by the club.
As this is a club specifically for the NSDTR, the points your dog would earn from placements in events, will not be included in the Championship Certificate Program, this is a feature designed only for the dog(s) of the NSDTR breed.

- 6. How does the Championship Certificate Program Work? -

When you enter your dog(s) in one of the Monthly events run by the NSDTR Club your dog will earn Points (PT) towards the Championship title. Each placement will receive a different number of points and once your dog(s) has reach 50PT, you will be awarded a Championship Certificate.
For more information please check out the journal all to do with the Championship Certificate Program -

If you have any other questions regarding the NSDTR Club, please don't hesitate to get in contact with us and we'll be more than happy to assist in any way we can.
