Wrong Door - Urban Ruins teaser

Theme: Multicoloured ruined rooms.

Curiosity:
This will be the first of many, many similar stock photos I'll upload. I'm a big lover of ruins. I especially love urban ruined places. In a normal country or city, these should be non-existent or very, very rare. It should be something to be ashamed of, and we - the crazy lovers of decay - should work hard and travel far to be able to take photos of places like that. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on the point of view), there are a LOT of places like this in, and around Pula. I won't go deep into the reasons why, or my opinions of it. Let's just say that I have a lot of "playground" to take these photos. I enjoy them, but would love to see those places restored and in use again.
However, these rooms are a part of a big building block that once stored hydroplanes and submarines, buit on a little island called St. Katarina as a part of a big military complex built in the begining of the 19th century. The whole giant complex of buildings, harbours and houses that stretch for kilometers in the vicinity of Pula, lay abandoned, ruined, decayed and abused now.

Statement: Most of these photos are technically not very good. Some are dark, some over-exposed, some a bit blurry or the composition's off. They're also mostly not touched-up at all. You'll have to do that your self if you see fit, and you will.
