Pokemon Reign: Exploration: Wetlands Aren't SO Bad

"Why do we have to be in such a gross area, Firefly!?" Princess was whining, looking at the flygon. The pokemon were  actually going on a trip through the wetlands. The pokemon did not really enjoy it, glaring at the adventurous flygon. The only pokemon who really didn't seem to mind was little Mystery, who was skipping around in the mud. Honestly, everything made the young pokemon smile happily, which remained a mystery for the other pokemon. Baretta was ignoring the annoying chimera pokemon, looking around in hopes she would find something she could fight in this Arceus-forbidden place. However, Princess's whining actually did annoy two pokemon. Cerberus and Tyrant glared at the snubbull and were soon shouting at her.

"Can't you just grow up, your annoying pain in the ass!?" Cerberus seemed to just angrily bark at her, his eyes narrowed as the snubbull growled back at him. That was the trouble of having two dog-esque pokemon in the group; they usually fought about everything due to how different the two are.

"Do you even know how annoying you are when you WHINE like that, Princess? None of us want to hear from such an annoying and ugly little pest!"

That had done it. Tyrant's cruel words actually made Princess begin to cry. She pushed past the group, running off while sobbing horribly.

"Wait, Princess, come back!" Firefly flew after her, until she relieved an Ice Fang to the neck. She fell to the ground, Dusty, Rosalina and Steven staring in shock. They began to run after her, only to deal with the pokemon using one of her own attacks.  Baretta even followed them. She was desperate to get her friend back, only for the snubbull to use Roar on her. She fell back on her face as the snubbull sprinted off. Baretta turned, glaring at Cerberus and Tyrant. The two pokemon gulped and backed away, before the two began to be chased by the pokemon. Baretta was ENRAGED that they would even so that to Princess, who she knew had low self-esteem issues and had always viewed herself as weaker than the others.

However, none of them got too far as a large group of spinaraks surrounded them. The pokemon gasped as the pokemon began to attack them. Even though the pokemon had done their best to fight, they were soon tied up in a large amount of strings, leaving them suspended in the trees. They even managed to knock out Willow, who tried to stop them with her Will-o-Wisp.

Meanwhile, Princess had eaten her large fill of berries. She had found a number of berry trees and had decided to literally eat her heart out to make herself feel good. As the pokemon slowly got up, she let out a loud burp, before giggling, "Oh my, how unladylike~." She giggled happily, beginning to walk around. You know, the wetlands weren't really that bad, she thought. They did not seem to actually be as gross and disgusting as she had thought. Maybe she owed the others an apology for what she had thought earlier that day?

Speaking of which, where were the others?

Baretta most likely wouldn't have abandoned her just like that. The scrafty was over protective of the young snubbull, even refusing to let suitors near her as she didn't view them as worth the snubbull's time. That was an annoying part about Baretta, but Princess knew she was just bring protective of her.

To think of it, Princess hadn't heard anything since she began eating. She began to walk around, looking around in confusion until she came across a terrifying scene!

A large amount of spinaraks had captured her friends, all of them tied up in string while they moved up to try and kill her friends to eat. Princess was shaking, not wanting her friends to die. She opened her mouth and let out a loud roar, making the spinaraks fall onto the ground and scurry away, calling out for their boss.

Whoever their boss was was going down, determined Princess. However, when the ariados landed in front of her, she turned pale. It was a very large one, at least twice as large as a regular one. She contemplated running and leaving her friends for dead, until she saw Mystery and Steven.

They were the youngest of the group and were giving her the saddest look the two pokemon could muster. Both of them were pouting with their eyes large and tearing up. It looked even worse for Mystery, especially as both corners of his large eye were filled with tears. The two were afraid that she would leave them for dead.

And, thus, despite Princess's fear, she growled at the ariados and rushed at him, aiming for him with a Fire Fang. However, the pokemon quickly dodged and stabbed her with the edge of it's body. Oh god, he had used Poison Jab on her, making the snubbull fall as she felt the poison take over her body.

She stood up regardless, though. She refused to let her friends die. Her eyes narrowed and she soon began to glow, beginning to grow taller. She had always been a shorter snubbull, but, now, she was a larger Granbull! She let out a growl and rushed at the ariados, beginning to punch in a frenzied manner. She seemed to be taking out her anger on the pokemon before she kicked him hard in the tree.

Even though she was dizzy, she realized she had just used Outrage.

The ariandos was about to quickly attack her and kill her, if it wasn't for the fact that the ariados had knocked down both Steven and Mystery from where they were in the tree. Steven rolled in front of the ariados, his eyes glaring. He let out a screech, the ariados soon being frozen with a strong attack from Sheer Cold. The other two stared at the now frozen ariados, to Steven and back to the ariados. They were surprised Steven had even done that. The spheal seemed rather angry, glaring at the ariados with the intent to kill slowly fading away.

After they had gotten the others free and they began to walk home, Bastet was surprised to see that Princess had become a granbull. She did not know of her pokemons' adventure, but she was sure they had a lot of fun what they had doing.

And, here was to hoping she never finds out why the other pokemon began to avoid Steven when he was mad. She had no idea that because of him, a wild pokemon was slowly defawing around a large group of spinaraks that had endured a heavy pain from the granbull.
