are you prayerful?nights are serene when you sing;
your fingers travel a vintage guitar,
chords on a somersault
reaching the timid stars.
i listen from next door
as you hum a love story.
he holds me
as he would a dream,
never letting go
because he needs me so.
i am a woman
without your gifts,
the privileges of
romancing a lover,
caressing a song.
i beseech you lyrical girl,
you with dainty cadences,
since God favors you more -
can you pull a few strings for me?

are you prayerful? by wispy-blue

the last chord sustained in seeming suspended space.
