My Influence Map 2015

Things that influence my art, I might have to do a separate one for things that influenced my story-telling style.

1. Battle Angel Alita, one of my first manga as well as one of my first comic books in general. The first series I ever finished in entirety.
2. Bizenghast, I always loved this series and it pains me that too this day I can not find a copy of the last book.
3. Ranma 1/2, the other of my first two manga series.
4. TESwan, or Tovah from my painting class. My art style changed that quarter and I think it can be attributed to Tovah.
5. The Dreaming, I fell in love with this manga in middle school and it made me fall in love with drawing clothes. Now that's my #1 hallmark and it is because of this series. It also made me love subtle horror.
6. Kim Possible, this was the only kid's show I watched as a child. It made me love action and in particular, action heroines. Plus, the organic curves of the show's style shows up in my sketches.
7. Widdershins, this comic made me lose my fear of noses. Not even kidding.
8. Alphonse Mucha, I love this guy's work. Everything about it. I long to emulate it.
9. Lilithsinclair, after doing so many art trades, I noticed I had picked up some subtle traits of your art.
10. Jem and the Holograms, this show, man. It think it's why I started emphasizing cheek bones more.
11. My old photograph collection, my old photos have made start drawing more variety in facial features.
