Here is a very quick stitching project that I finished within about a week or two's time. It's been quite some time since I worked on fur and now I remember why! I would say "fur is hard" but of course I have been corrected in the past, so, "fur is difficult". The shading is quite particular to mimic the real world and hence needs a lot of thread colors to get one effect. Indeed many of the colors are only used for a dozen or so stitches before switching!

My favorite part of this was the tiger naturally and I was hesitant to do the border because of how many extra hours doing it added. But! The border really pulls the entire piece together and adds all that glorious metallic thread. It also gives it a sort of Asian look (or, to me anyhow haha) which could help pinpoint what type of tiger this is. Honestly I'm not that familiar with types of tigers but I do know the various breeds have very particular facial structures. If anyone knows the type of tiger that this is let me know and I'll update.

The original kit came with huge "finishing" steps very similar to the red wheat butterfly I did late last year. Because of the poor experience I had with the butterfly I decided not to do it this way. Originally, I was meant to fold the fabric around on some cardboard and surround it with a woven trim and tassel. Then I would stick all of this to a green velveteen background.
