Demon girl

It's very likely that the next few drawings will either be sketches because work is picking up again, but I'll try to keep them from just being sketches.

Biology:

Demons in my world are part of 7 different clans and affinities, based on the 7 deadly sins. This lovely lady is from the greed clan.

So here's what's universal for demons. As a whole their bodies are very resistant to heat and fire (which makes sense seeing as they live in Hell). Demons have a stong affinity for dark aligned magic, and even if they don't look it, they're at least twice as strong as the average human. Their job is to punish mortal souls for the wrongdoings they've done in life in corrospondance to the aspect their clan stands for. Demons don't usually need to eat actual food. They feed off the thoughts and emotions from mortals, and as such, most Demons can read surface thoughts. The more powerful the thought or emotion, the more the demon is fed. Aside from Gluttony Demons, all demons have wings that they conseal on their backs in the form of tattoos. The wing design is different for each clan. Greed Demon wings are akin to crows.

Greed and Lust demons are unique as being the only of their kind that can make babies with other species. Lust Demons can do it with Angels, which will produce Succubi, which is a completely other story.

Greed demons love material goods. Their bodies are covered in more jewels the older they are. Elder Greed demons barely have skin left. These jewels will still allow proper movement, and are worth a very pretty penny on the black market. Most gems are sold by other Greed Demons. >.>

Mythos:

I think as long as man has had a sense of morality, they've had demons to screw them over. That or they use demons to explain terrible things going on in their life.
