Biology:

Fairies are an interesting race. They don't exist on the physical plane, and can only be brought to the physical world through summoning them. In doing so, you can form a contract with them. In doing so, they choose to serve you until the contract is over.

Fairies look a bit different than this one normally. When a contract is made between a fairy and a mortal, the fairy gain certain aspects of whoever summons it. The more contracts they've made, the less they look like normal fairies, and the higher status they have among other fairies. Without summoning, Fairies have no gender or elemental affinity. On average, they're no taller than 6 inches.

Since they are summoned beings, they can not be killed while on the mortal plane. Upon serious injury, they poof back home to heal. They can't be summoned for a week after that event.

Fairy baby making has yet to be seen, but they do exist, and they're adorable little squishies.

For the elements they can use, it all depends on the materials used in the initial summoning ritual. This Fairy is of the water element.

Mythos:

Fairies are a type of mythical beings or legendary creatures from European folklore, a form of spirit, often described either metaphysical, supernatural, or preternatural.

Largely a mischievous race, they're separated into two different courts; Seelie and Unseelie. Seelie Fairies tend to play light heated pranks on mortals, and are usually harmless unless provoked. Unseelie Fairies, on the other hand, are a very malicious bunch, and take joy from harming humans.
