SSB x MLP: Mysterious things

Maraschino and Meta Knight were passing through the Orre region, which was a dangerous part of the Pokémon Kingdom. The reason they had to go through was that, the only to get to the Hoenn region from Johto is to go through Orre. Meta Knight was nervous about going through this part of the kingdom. He was deep in his thoughts.

Maraschino sensed Meta Knight's nervous energy and spoke, "Meta Knight, is there something wrong?" Meta Knight shook himself back into reality and lost his train of thought.

The star warrior replied, "I'm perfectly fine."

Maraschino responded, "Meta Knight, you know I can sense how people truly feel, and I'm sensing that you're nervous about something." Meta Knight thought to himself, Dang it! I forgot about that... guess there's no escaping her.

Meta Knight sighed then spoke, "I'm, well nervous about the fact that you could-"

Maraschino spoke abruptly, "That I could get hurt." Meta Knight's eyes turned white in total shock. He thought to himself, How does she do that?!

Meta Knight was about to say something when suddenly the voice of a man rang out, "Don't let that Pokémon get away!" Maraschino and Meta Knight looked at each other then flew down into the forest and hid behind a stone wall that was connected to a waterfall.  A bulky red headed man looked around trying to find a Pokemon. The man spoke, "You cannot hide forever Absol!" 

Maraschino whispered to Meta Knight, "I've heard of Absol before, it's the disaster Pokémon. It warns people of future disasters. Also, Lucario told me about him, his name is Gonzap, he's the leader of team Snagem, a team that steals people's Pokémon, similar to team Rocket, but with darker intentions."

Meta Knight replied in whisper, "I see, but what would he want with a wild Absol?"

Maraschino responded in whisper, "Beats me."

Then a strange voice spoke in whisper, "Hey you two, find your own hiding place." Maraschino and Meta Knight jumped at the sound of a new voice.

Maraschino whispered, "Who are you?"

The stranger replied in whisper, "I'm the Absol that Gonzap is trying to find."


                                                                ...

The Absol explained how he was "snagged" by team Snagem. 

Maraschino whsipered, "So, Gonzap used a snag machine to disconnect you from your trainer."

Absol replied in whisper, "Pretty much."

Meta Knight whsipered, "We better move, we don't want Gonzap to find us." The trio quietly walked behind the water fall and out of the cave. Gonzap Then looked behind the stone wall, then got very upset, he turned around and looked at his Pokemon searcher, Myilord, and boy was Gonzap fired up. The trio watched as Gonzap yelled angerly at the searcher with loads of dirty language, it seemed as if the crimial leader had spoken every swear word in the book, and more.

Maraschino spoke, "Let's get out of here before Gonzap's rant is over." Meta Knight and Absol nodded in agreement.

Absol spoke, "Follow me, I know every road in the forest like the back of my paw." The trio walked through the forest with Absol leading the way. The trio eventually ended up near a sparkling lake deep in the forest. Absol spoke, "That should keep Gonzap away for awhile."

Meta Knight asked, "So why do they want you so badly?"

Absol repiled, "Well, after the fall of team Snagem, the Subspace Emissary convinced Gonzap and the team to join them. So they were given more powerful snag machines, and their first target," Absol choked slightly, trying to hold back the tears.

Maraschino spoke, "You and your trainer." Absol nodded.

Absol continued, "The team, hunted us down. I manged to sense when they were coming, so we ran for what seemed like forever. Until we were at the edge of the forest, then," tears went down Absol's face. "They surpised attack us, they snagged me, and killed my trainer. So I ran fast as I could go, until I hid in the waterfall cave." Absol began the weep.

Maraschino spoke, "Meta Knight, we should take Absol with us. He can't stay here, he could be found by team snagem."

Meta Knight replied, "That's fine with me. Let's just get out of here." Maraschino nodded. Then she grabbed Absol and flew off with Meta Knight.

They flew closer to Hoenn with each flap of their wings. Meta Knight was relived that they were about to leave Orre. Suddenly a blast of energy flew fast and crashed against Maraschino's left wing, instantly clipping it.
Maraschino then fell fast and screamed.

Meta Knight then quickly flew down after her. Meta Knight thought to himself, I can't lose her, I can't lose her like how I lost Garlude.  
Meta Knight exclaimed, "I-I'm Coming! Hold on!" Maraschino was full of terror, you see, she has Basiphobia, the fear of falling. Tears left her eyes. Meta Knight fought the strong currents, flapping his wings as hard as he could. 

Maraschino exclaimed, "Meta Knight, please!" She bravely lifted her hoof. Meta Knight then dived down and finally reached Maraschino, and instantly grabbed her hoof and pulled her close to him. 

Meta knight quickly ended the free fall and flapped his wings, holding the mare's upper body close to him. Meta Knight spoke, "I got you Maraschino, your safe now." Maraschino shook  and clung onto the star warrior. Absol felt the emotions of the two. Feeling as if they never told each other how the other feels.
