Welcome to the HSITP inaugural show! Please see my main page for details about HSITP. :boogie:

This show is open from June 15th to August 15th, 2015!

The Summer Hunt Classic is a one-day event comprised of seven HARPG-HJA divisions (you don't have to be a member of HARPG-HJA to enter this show). All classes except the derby will be held inside Tamarack Park's covered arena. Trailers may be parked just south of the main stables, and warm-up may be conducted wherever there's room (we suggest the open field just west of the stables). Stalls and paddocks will not be provided for competitors.

The Arena: Our arena (we've only got one) is covered, but not enclosed; you can use this Stable Overhead Map as a reference. It's 100'x200' (or 30.5x61 meters). The transparency in the center of the roof lets sunshine in during the day, and we've got hanging lights which make the arena usable during the dark hours.

The Round Pen: We also have a 65' (20m) round pen. Same as the arena, it's covered but not enclosed. There are transparent slats in the roof which allow sunlight to illuminate the interior during the day, and a single (but quite powerful) light at the apex of the roof lets us use it when the sunlight's gone.

This show is only open to horses of real breeds, and of real colors found in those breeds. Numbers won't be given out; you can make up one for each horse you enter, but there should be a number worn on the rider's back in each entry (if you can see the rider's back, that is!).

Scoring:

  • :bulletgreen: All entries will be judged based on merit (there will be no RNG scoring).
:bulletgreen: The horse/rider pair must enter both the over-fences and the flat class in each division they enter, where applicable. This means that if you're entering the Intermediates, you'll need two entries to be allowed in the show; if you're entering the Derby, you'll only need one entry.
:bulletgreen: All entries must comply with HARPG-HJA Rules & Regulations.
:bulletgreen: Just comment here with a link to your entry (or entries) when you're finished. Please be sure to include identifying information (horse name/link, rider name, class(es) entered, etc.) in your entry's description!

Divisions & Classes:

  • :bulletgreen: All classes conform to HARPG-HJA specifications.
:bulletgreen: 2015 Summer Hunt Classic: O/F Courses (course maps)
:bulletgreen: Divisions are listed in order of go; Beginner Cross-Rails begins at 8:30am the Saturday of the show, and we continue on through the day until all classes have run (with an hour lunch break from noon until 1:00pm).
  • :pointr: Beginner Cross-RailsOver-fences and on the flat.
:pointr: Baby Green HunterOver-fences and on the flat.
:pointr: Intermediate HunterOver-fences and on the flat.
:pointr: Developing Hunter: Over-fences and on the flat. Low/High will be judged together as one class.
:pointr: Open HunterOver-fences and on the flat. Low/High will be judged together as one class.
:pointr: Pleasure Horse/Pony: This is a single class, flat only. Any horse/rider pair may cross-enter in to this class, but do note that all entrants will be in the arena at the same time, so a single rider may show only a single horse in this class.
:pointr: Hunter Derby: This is a single class, over-fences only. The derby course at Tamarack Park is set with all fences at 3' high, and is the only class which will take place outside the arena. The derby will take place in a large paddock roughly double the size of the arena, with clusters of trees, hilly and flat terrain, and several different "natural" jump types involved (banks, logs, ditches, etc.).
