Tragically human-- this is a really great piece of poetry.

TermsI enter the high-ceilinged hall flanked by a personal guard section. I estimate the relatively narrow oval is seventy meters at its widest point, draped in alien Gothic fashion and thronged in quislings on each side noticeably better dressed the closer they stand to the enormous throne at the far end.
She resents me, the bitch. I can tell by how her feathery antennae twitch at me as if they'd like to flay the skin straight off my face, but she refuses to allow her sunken eyes to rest on me. Her wide, clenched horse rictus sways from side to side and the seven slender digits of one hand drum idly on the golden globe of an armrest in what I decide is pretentious posturing for the assembled bureaucrats and loyalist military. Few free humans outside of the ruling families ever get to see one of them up close, much less the planetary ambassador, even if that means fifteen meters away and separated by ten centimetres of transparent shielding for good measure.
I cast a sidelong glance at her

Terms by Weaponised

A good old science fiction story, both
with political edges and subtle worldbuilding

Die Brunnen erleuchtet und Kohle erhellt;
Die eine hieß Antlitz, sie war wunderschön;

This traditional metric poem deals with the good and bad in us.
The good exterior will wither by the time
and it remains the evil interior. Nice metaphorical speech.

Wow! Thank you very much. A bit unaspected for a german speaker (and writer), but this make it even cooler
