Interview with Akira Pt. 1

Me: *lounging on a chase in the corner of Akira's office* Akira do you ever regret your creation?

AKira: A little sometimes. *sitting at her desk tapping away at the keys of her computer filling int he character records.* After all I was created based completely of the picture of a character in a game with a story that started out as a copy of a movie with dragons added. It does make you feel rather insignificant and.... not your own person. like you don't really belong.

Me: Do you think you can grow into your own with some work. *sitting up 

Akira: Yes of course. If you’ll help me to.

Me: Well then What do you want your full name to be?

Akira: Akira Takagowa

Me: *chuckle* we don’t know any meanings to that do we?

Akira: Not a damn thing for Takagowa, but Akira means Bright boy

Me: hehe alright then.. how do you pronounce your name?

Akira: Pretty much as it is spelled. There are general nuances within the Japanese language that would give the name a certain sound when spoken. Although for those reading who don't speak Japanese I suppose Ah-keer-ah Ta-kah-gow (Like gown without the n) ah will do.

Me: Alright well any nicknames?

Akira: Some of the clowns in the Writer's wasteland refer to me as Kira. Now that does have a meaning to it. It means killer according to Death note.

Me: And what to you prefer to be called? 

Akira: Akira, but if someone must call me by anything but my first name... Taka

Me: Lion king much? *chuckles*

Akira: No, *rolls her eyes* if they aren't going to refer to me by my first name then they can refer to me by my last and since it is a mouth full Taka will do.

Me: heh okay well next question. Birth date.

Akira: Well that’s an interesting one to discuss. I mean that could very well be one of  many different dates. After all Where shall my origins lie Earth or Atreyu or else where?

Me: hm… that is difficult… I don’t know… I’d originally created you with the idea of bringing fantasy into the real world…. So… maybe… maybe you are to set the bar for another story line all together.

Akira: how so?

Me: Well imagine if all the fantasy creatures were real.

Akira: Interesting.... You're not going to put me back on that Oil rig with that pervert are you?

Me: No! Geez! That whole thing was written in 7th grade for one and two it was an almost word for word copy of Armageddon up until the owner charges into Perv's room.

Akira: Well then what do you have in mind?

Me: Not sure just yet. How about we continue this as an interview and go from there?

Akira: Then I will answer about my birth date. 1998 September 21st. Roughly when I was created which is also where I'd like to be placed in the timeline of this new world.

Me: 17 years you'll be this year then. shit how time has flown. you realize you'll be apart of the Millennials? and that most of my generations pretty much hates you.

Akira: I understand, but don't generations usually hate the generation after them because of some perceived notion that the younger generation has it easy? So no matter what generation you were to place me in, someone would still have an problem with me.

Me: True. So what would that make your astrological sign?

Akira: It would make me a Virgo and I was born in the year of the Tiger.

Me: what are t he odds *chuckles* Alright So I suppose we need to come up with an occupation for you.

Akira: That can be difficult since by all rights I am a minor. I may be proficient as your record keeper here in the wasteland, but not to many 17 year old teens get those kinds of clerical jobs. Were I in Atreyu I'd have been trained in the Colleges of Delain and become a record keeper there.

Me: Well then we need to work our way around the age thing. or I'll just saw screw it and drop you in Atreyu. Hope you don't mind not having indoor plumbing.

Akira: Oh har har no thank you I prefer my toilet flushing thanks. hm.. Perhaps a family business?

Me: Yes! That reminds me of the Facebook page that I follow "The Libertarian homeschooler" The family has their own business and their sons make money like an allowance by helping out with the business. 

Akira: So my parents run a business and I help out with the record keeping. They breed and sell Dragons... Well species that are related to them at least.

Me: I would assume that full size dragons would in fact be restricted. Like most large exotics. Well then we don't have to worry about Rank. Your occupation is Draco breeder with a specialty in the record keeping department. We'll slip back to this subject further in the interview. However we are going to stop here for the moment.

Akira: Why?

Me: I want to give readers a preview of how I run these interviews. It is to go with the character interview sheet.

Akira: Creator... With all due respect, you may be the writer, but I still run the interviews. 

Me: well yes, but they still need to see that. I think thats part of why the Wasteland group didn't go the way I'd hoped. Regardless here is where the interview ends for Part one of your interview. Part 2 will me quite longer as we'll be focusing on Physical Description and possibly Personality.

Akira: I aught to take a personality test. those always have good insight.

Me: then you will. until then I must post this. you keep up on everyone else's records. *gets up and leaves the writer's wasteland*
