New Moon

It was the day after the semi finals on FistPunch, but Adelina had ignored it as best she could, not wishing to go to the fights. However, she was more than willing to support her friends afterwards, as was Alex; he went to the fights so he could fill Adelina on some of the details. He told her how things with Kat went and how very unpleasant it was, yet they had no idea where she had run off to afterwards. Alex searched the hotel for her, and Adelina looked all though the shops, but they just could not track her down at all. She hadn't even gone to Medco to have her wounds checked out like normal. Meeting back up at the center of the city, both robots felt they would have to bring Lita some bad news. “I could not find her at all. I even had to break down her room door to get in, but sadly miss Kat was not within.”

“You did what?! Oh...nevermind. Yeah I couldn't find her either, and if she's as hurt as you told me, she needs treatment before she bleeds out or gets an infection.” Adelina was almost ready to have a panic attack as she refused to lose one of the few friends she had made. Just as both she and Alex were thinking of going back to give Lita the bad news, Sencia showed up out of thin air in front of them.

“Sencia! How long have you been here?”

“Oh um...n-not too long,” she blushed a little at the lie, seeing as she had been swooning over Alex for a few minutes while she was hidden. “I c-came to tell you that mister Orion found your friend a-and he took her to g-get treatment.”

“He did!? Where was she?”

“S-she went t-to a bar and um...well...sh-she began to consume many alcoholic drinks and...” Sensia didn't even get to finish her report, Adelina already running off to Medco.

“Oh dear, this will indeed be very rough. Thank you so much for your help, miss Sencia” Alex said with a smile before he went off after his partner, leaving the smaller bot behind with her face bright red. As they reached Medco, they saw Orion and Lita gently leading out Kat, who was patched up but still broken up inside after what had happened. “Miss Kat, thank goodness you are alright. We looked all over the city for you.”

“Just...leave me alone...” Was all Kat said to Alex's surprise, as even when things were tough he knew Kat was still quite lively. And yet, he could understand, given what had happened.

“Come on Kat, don't be like that. They were as worried about you as Lita and myself.” Orion stated with a little smile, trying his best to calm her down... but that was an uphill battle.

“Why can't you get it...I'm just a murderer, I don't belong around anyone,” was all Kat could say, leaving Alex and Lita speechless.

“Come on Kat, that’s just the stress talking. You don't really mean that.” Orion said as he tried to give her a hug; yet she just grew more frustrated in his arms as tears just refused to stop running down her face.

“I killed them, they aren't coming back like I would! I killed both of them and their child! I'm just a monster!” Kat yelled out as she stood there trembling, before her eyes looked up at Adelina for a second. “You above anyone should hate me for it!” It was true that Adelina did hate what had happened, but she hated the whole tournament and what people thought of as 'entertainment'.

As Kat looked back down at the ground, Adelina left Alex's side. A compartment on her right thigh opened and she pulled out what looked to be a pair of gloves. Slipping the gloves on, she stopped in front of Kat and placed her left hand on the elf's shoulder.

“Kat...look at me...” She spoke calmly, and once the elf glanced up at her, much to Orion and Lita's shock, Adelina hauled off and punched Kat. Thankfully she was wearing padded gloves, but was still hard enough to knock a tooth from her mouth as the elf crashed to the ground and looked up at her in a haze. “Would you shut up with this self-hating talk or I swear I will beat you into the ground!”

“What is wrong with you Adelina?! Stop this!” Lita said, just for the android to pick Kat up by her shirt while Lita and Orion tired to pull her off. “Let her go!”

“I will not! She needs some sense smacked into her thick head!” She growled as her tail slapped the sidewalk, breaking the concrete under it. “You better clean those pointy ears out and listen good or I'll smack you again! Yes, I flat out hate what you and the others did in that fight! It makes me sick....but...” Adelina bared her metal fangs as she tensed up, looking ready to bite Kat's head off... and Kat found herself almost wanting it. But instead, she felt those cold metal arms gently wrap around her. “But you didn't want to badly hurt them....and you didn't know this would happen. You're not a murderer...you're our friend so please...stop hurting yourself like this, because it hurts us too.” Adleina held on a bit tighter as she started to cry, as did Kat when Lita and Orion wrapped their arms around her as well. She still felt horrible inside for what had happened, for what she had done, but a little bit of her felt more at peace that her friends didn't hate her. Kat wanted to say something, but she couldn't find the words, even more so when Alex joined in the group hug, wrapping his big arms around all three of them and squeezing a bit too hard. “TOO TIGHT, TOO TIGHT!” Adelina gasped; the others could hear a few cracks and pops from each other before Alex let them go.

“Oh dear, I'm so sorry everyone!” Alex was in a bit of a panic after nearly crushing them all in a hug. Thankfully they were right in front of Medco.

After Orion, Kat, and Lita were fixed up, Kat started to calm down a little bit more. “Well...for what it is worth miss Kat, I must congratulate you on moving to the finals. Granted, I surmise things might feel a bit odd fighting miss Moon, given how much you two have been through together.” Alex really hit the nail on the head with that, given how the two got to know each other a little and, while rocky, were still friends. On top of all that, Kat really didn't have a big reason to be fighting, while Moon seemed to... even if it was just for self-glory at first.

“Speaking of Moon, where is she? I figured she would be here as well.” Adelina commented as she looked around, not seeing the plump and loud cat-woman at all.

“Well she was here a few hours ago, before Orion brought Kat in. I saw her out the door and she talked with that large King of yours,” Lita said as she looked over, seeing a dumbfounded look on both Alex and Adelina.

“She...is with King Dlaigo? Oh gods...”

“This is quite odd, he's usually not one to go out and talk with people without his wife unless it's a diplomatic meeting.”

“Or if he knows she'll cause trouble.”

“Well yes, that as well.” Alex sighed and rubbed the side of his head. “I think it would be best if we found her and the King before...something happens.

“You don't have to tell me twice. Last thing we need is Moon saying something to get the queen angry. Gods know what she would do to Moon.” Adelina trembled a little as she thought about that as she walked out of Medco with Alex. “You guys going to be okay?”

“Yeah, we'll catch up with you in a bit.” Orion said, still holding an arm around Kat to comfort her. Lita nodded, wanting to make sure Kat was going to be okay.

“We shall see you soon. Please, take care of yourself miss Kat. I'm still learning to deal with others during this journey but, for what it's worth, I do see you as a very good person struggling in bad situations. But you don't have to deal with it alone,” Alex said with a smile before he walked off with Adelina. An hour seemed to pass as they left the city to see the royal family's ship sitting just on the outside of the city. Sure enough, Moon was standing just outside the ship with the King, as well as another woman. “Greetings your Majesty. It's a surprise you would take an interest in miss Moon...er...no offense to you of course, miss Moon.” Alex tried to be polite as usual, even if Moon didn't get what he might have said.

“What, you think she can take a trash can like you apart, huh?” The girl walked up, poking Alex on the chest.

“No no, I didn't mean anything like that.” Alex waved his gloved hands while Adelina tried hard not to laugh.

“I know she could rip both of you to bits. She's in the finals and you two gave up.” It was that part that got Adelina a bit angry, but it just made the King laugh.

“They had a few things against them, besides who they were fighting, and I'm sure a fight between them and Moon would be quite the show.”

“Yeah, and they are Moon's friends. Big metal guy Alex and pretty ghost robot lady Adlea.”

“Hehe...my name is Adelina, Moon.”

“Right, that’s what I said.” Moon nodded as did her friend only to get Adelina to giggle a little.

“I don't mean to question anything, King Dlaigo but, why did you bring Moon here?”

“Well you see, my wife has for some reason taken miss Moon under her wing and given her a bit of training in secret, but she's busy attending to other things for today. Given what has happened recently, I had something in mind for miss Moon, and her friend Nepa here demanded to come along so I had no choice but to allow her to come.” Dlaigo laughed a bit, remembering how tough Nepa acted towards him when he ran into Moon. “Now then, we shouldn't be keeping your new sparring partner waiting,” the King said as he walked up the ramp into the ship, leaving the others as confused as Moon normally was. Lita, Kat, and Orion had finally caught up and were filled in by what little the others knew as they walked into the ship. They moved past many other Sauriens who all saluted Dlaigo as they walked by, heading into what looked like a large gym area.

At the far end of the gym was a figure no taller than Kat, dressed in a pink track suit with a hood up, punching away at a heavy bag. Once Dlaigo cleared his throat, the hooded stranger stopped hitting the bag and looked over. “Miss Moon, I would like you to meet one of the toughest fighters on our planet, next to Tammy and myself, and who is also the person you will be fighting. My daughter, Princess Meagan.” Moon flicked her ears as she looked up at Dlaigo, then over at the stranger, just for them to rush over and wrap their arms around the pudgy cat, hugging her as the hood fell down.

“OMG, she's so cute, dad!” Meagan giggled as she hugged Moon, to everyone's surprise. She was a combination of orange and brown, given who her parents were, and had a red Mohawk much like her father's, but fluffy instead of spiked up. Yet the most striking feature she had were her eyes: they were bright silver. “We're gong to have so much fun, I just know it!”

“If your fun means giving Moon lots of money, then I like you.” Moon said with a smile, only to have the Princess laugh and hug her some more, while the others all facepalmed hearing Moon.

“This girl won't last against Moon. I mean look at her, she's too overly cute and happy,” Nepa said with a bit of a laugh. Alex looked away and Adelina rolled her eyes; they knew a few things about the Princess.

“Oh come on, be nice to the girl. She's just wanting to help Moon a little.” Lita said with her arms crossed over her chest.

“I think she's just jealous she isn't Moon's only fan now.” Orion chuckled a little as he kept Kat, who had a tiny smile on her face after the joke, close.

“So you will fight Moon? Well...I don't know...I'm a good person now and you're nice to Moon...” Moon actually didn't know if it was a good idea, but that didn't stop the dino from snuggling her more, her tail wagging.

“Hehe, oh don't worry I'll be okay. Just don't go easy on me.” Meagan giggled, stepping back and giving Moon a bit of space. Her father did the same and motioned the others to follow him. Once the others backed away, Meagan started to take her track suit off, revealing some pink boxing gloves and matching thigh high boots plus a white and pink tight one piece with a small heart cut into the chest. The clothing was a bit shocking for sure, as it was a bit revealing. Even Orion blushed a little. Similarly shocking was the fact that the track suit had hidden just how much muscle was on the teen dino.

“What kind of steroids is that kid on?!” Nepa asked as Alex and Adelina laughed a bit.

“No drugs. Meagan has been working to be a fighter since the day she could walk.” Dlaigo said proudly.

“Well...she takes after you and your wife.” Lita said with a sheepish smile.

“Yeah, everything except her attitude,” Orion chuckled, only to get a bit of an elbow to the side by Kat and Lita. Moon didn't seem phased at all, given who had been teaching her for a few days.

“Okay miss Moon, I hope you're ready because here I come!” Meagan yelled with a smile. As soon as Moon nodded, the dino was already charging right at her and smacked the pudgy cat across the face with a left hook. It didn't hurt, like always, but it knocked her back a good few steps. Just as Moon got her footing back, she was greeted with a few more good punches to the face and her big belly, knocking the wind out of her—but she held her ground. When Meagan threw another punch at her, Moon surprised everyone by catching it instead of blocking, pulling Meagan in with her own momentum and throwing her to the floor by her wrist not once but twice, letting the dino bounce off the floor and away from her.

“Ow...that was a good one,” Meagan mumbled to herself as she got back up to her feet, only to have Moon greet her with a left hook of her own, flooring the buff teen dino. Adelina's jaw nearly dropped off her face. Meagan was dazed for a bit: she wobbled when she started to get up, just in time for Moon to come running at her and tackle her to the ground with every ounce of her weight.

“Nice one Moon! Show that lizard girl you rock!” Nepa shouted and clapped, then took a snapshot with her phone. Moon struck a pose or two for her number one fan as Meagan slowly got back up to her feet.

“Ouchie...Well...I wanted to save this as a surprise when I got home but...hehe,..this will make things even more fun,” Meagan giggled a little, before tensing up and bearing her fangs. Moon looked back over her shoulder just in time to see the teen dino's muscles flex and her hair turn bright silver, her eyes glowing a little. Everyone watching was confused; even her father had no clue what had just happened.

“Did you eat a glow stick thing? You're all glowly and stuff. I ate one once but only my poo glowed.” Moon flicked her ears and tail as Meagan laughed, thinking it was a joke.

“Meagan dear..what is this?” Dlaigo asked, the others wanting to know as well.

“Sorry I kept it a secret, Daddy. I don't know how I can do this, it just started showing up a few months ago while I was training with Grandpa Atlas. He said no one else can do this so....hehe, I call it turning into an ascended Saurien.” Meagan smiled and looked back over at Moon, just to dash right up to her much faster than before and give her a hard right hook across the face, nearly throwing Moon down face first to the floor... but she refused to back down. Both girls traded heavy hits for a few moments until Moon bashed her metal fist right into Meagan's cheek as the Princess caught her across with a left hook, sending them both tumbling to the floor.

Panting hard, Meagan slowly got back up to her feet, as did Moon, wiping a bit of blood from her lip. She tensed up once more, her eyes starting to glow brighter. “What is she...Oh no...she's not thinking of using that move..” Adelina said with a worried tone to her voice.

“What move? Come on, don't leave us in the dark here,” Kat said as Orion nodded.

“Its something the Princess is gifted with. Sauriens with strong spiritual bonds are gifted to manipulate spiritual and inner energy. For the Princess, she is able to condense a very large amount of energy within her body and expel it in one large burst from her mouth, which she calls the Silver Cannon. It is extremely dangerous,” Alex explained as Lita and Kat looked back over in a panic, just in time to see Meagan let loose a large silver beam from her mouth that headed right at Moon. At first they thought Moon was a well-done stuffed cat, but once the light was gone they saw her standing there, her metal arm glowing bright red from hand to elbow, the floor scorched around her. “Interesting...miss Moon's arm must be made of a dense alloy similar to miss Adelina's body to deflect the blast.”

“Oh yeah, you rock Moon, now kick her butt!” Nepa yelled and cheered as both girls stood glaring at each other... until Meagan fell over on her tail as her hair turned back to normal.

“Oh wow...that really takes a lot out of me...I can't go on, hehe...but that was a lot of fun!” Meagan smiled, sitting there looking at Moon who was still up on her feet... but only for a short while before she, too, fell over. “Are you okay?”

“Moon's legs won't listen and move!” Moon struggled about, her hot metal hand burning the floor as she touched it until Dlaigo walked over, opening a water bottle and dumping it on the arm to cool it a little before picking Moon up.

“Well of course they won't listen. Your body is exhausted after that, but you outlasted my daughter even with her little surprise. That in itself is no easy task.” The King chuckled a little as he picked Meagan up with his tail and walked over to the others, setting Moon back down on her legs once she could move them again. Moon looked right at Kat as the elf did looked back at Moon; they both would be fighting each other soon, and both had drastically changed since they started.

“You're annoying, skinny, and do things that confuse Moon...but still want to be friends.” Moon said as she glanced down at the floor a little.

“Yeah well...you're fat, a slob, and full of gas...but we're friends, Moon.” Kat said with a little smile, only to get a surprise hug from Moon. “HOT HOT HOT HOT TOO HOT!” Kat yelled out: Moon's right arm was still a bit on the warm side. Dlaigo ran over and grabbed a cooler full of ice water and dumped it all onto of Kat and Moon. “Friends...but I'm so going to kick your butt for that...” Kat grumbled. Then she and Moon were hugged by Meagan while the others laughed and Orion took a picture on his phone.
