Personality: Samuel is everyone's friend. Never met him? Doesn't mater, he'll be your best bud within a second. He's super jolly and is rarely ever really seen without a smile. Even when in a sticky situation he'll have a grin on his face. When he sets his eyes on a prize, he'll be dedicated to getting the job done, even if it means getting a little beat up. It takes more than a few hits to take him down. Don't let his small stature fool you, he can pack a punch like any other mudkip. If you're looking for him go to a dance club and you might see him just taking over the dance floor with his amazing moves. He really likes to dance. He can make all the ladies and boyos swoon. 

History: Samuel has a had a pretty regular childhood. Growing up in a nice neighborhood, he had plenty of friends and participated in all the games of the "if you haven't done this you haven't had a good childhood" variety. After graduating from school, though, his mother sadly passed away after an untimely encounter with a completely absolute 'mon. Sam was in a state of depression for a while until a friend of his suggested a position in an infamous gang they were in. He accepted out of a bit of desperation and found it to actually help him in the end. He became happy once again and seemed to become extremely lucky afterwords!  He met Matthew through the gang and pressured persuaded him to make a team in the Survivalists Guild.

Personality: Matthew is on the more serious end of the spectrum, unlike his partner Sam. He doesn't take any nonsense and will quickly stop any tomfoolery that erupts within the gang. Any drama started will be ended by him. He might not be the most awkwardly kind fellow, but when you're on his good side he can be half decent towards you. He hates losing, but has just a bit of a defeatist attitude if the battle seems to be going against him. Despite this he is still quite the opponent in battle.

History: Life never really was that easy for Mat. Lost family, few friends, and lots of stress. He grew up on a farm and had to deal a lot with keeping everything in check. If the plants didn't grow his family didn't get money or food, which wasn't good at all. He was the second oldest of his 6 siblings and was very caring for his family, but still had to keep everyone from getting off task or fighting among themselves. When he was still relatively young his family had a little fire problem which left only himself and his youngest brother spared. They wandered a bit before encountering their new mom. She's kind of a touchy subject for him. He eventually encountered the gang and was recruited, quickly being recognized as the most reasonable and level headed of all the members and being put as the second in command. After being bothered endlessly by Samuel he eventually gave in and formed the Survivalists group with him, though Mat isn't putting as much effort into the partnership.

The Horological Effect is a secretively secret sorta gang. They aren't central in Aster Village though. they're somewhere else. That's Not there. Yeah. Buuut anyways. Their motives in particular are relatively unknown but it might have to deal with time or something. What is for certain at the moment is that they are really mostly focused on making lots of connections and taking out any rivals that come along.
