This is the 16th of my series designing clothes for ponies with a flower theme. Finished with the mane six, this time I picked the flowers based on the flora's meaning closest to what Big Macintosh seem to be associated with, keeping what colors suited him best in mind.
Big Mac's flower is the Prickly-Pear Cactus flower. 
In the language of flowers, Cacti mean endurance, warmth, and protection.
I wanted to go with a Gaucho-eqe look this time, to go with the cactus plant. Maybe since ponies rarely wear clothes this could be formal attire?
Anyway, sorry this came up so late! The next Deviation is already finished, so it'll go on time tomorrow!

"She looks like some kind of long, thin ape?"
"Oh, right, that."At first, I laughed out loud when I saw this.
Not because it is bad - mind you, but because I have never really seen Big Mac wear anything else besides his harness. Not to mention something so colourful as this. The style of clothing is also entirely new to me. I have never heard of these gauchos, but their style of clothing looks hilarious to me, and it looks hilarious on Mac as well - yet, also strangely fitting.
I also really like his pose and expression. It is like he is saying: "Yeah, I'm gorgeous!", which is a pretty bold and funny statement for a character like Mac.
The cactus is also so very fitting for Mac, I think. 
This entire image is just a good mix of funny, weird and unexpected.
I love it. Great job.
