SVI MONTHLY SHOWS
a series of rng and effort weighted casual harpg competitions
see new journal for further shows
see new journal for further shows
Welcome to the 2020 “reboot” of the Sunrise-Valley-Intl monthly show series!
Our hope is to provide fun and relaxing opportunities for the community to join us for some HARPG equestrian competitions. There are now three types of classes:
“Schooling” classes are the new mini rng level, with the most relaxed entry rules. No setting requirements makes them open to your creativity and flexible for your storyline.
“Freestyle” classes are a little more demanding and effort based but still have total freedom as far as setting. Great for getting a placing on unjudged shows or your own storyline based events.
/ “Specialty” classes are set at specific SVI events and locations. These classes may be rng or effort based but provide more unique show experiences for your developing equestrians.
- No registration required. Comment with the entry form once your entry is complete.halter | liberty | dressage | show jumping | eventing | hunters | reining | flat racing | national hunt
- This is a single entry show, so extra images (if you choose to make them) do not increase your score.
- This is a casual show environment and falls/knocked rails and generally misbehavin' are totally welcome. Nobody is perfect!
- Each horse can participate in a given class only once per month, but may enter as many different classes as you’d like.
- Placings, ribbons and fictional prize money will be distributed to the first 5 placers in each class.
- Entries from abandoned unjudged shows or old deleted shows are welcome in “schooling” & “freestyle” classes as long as the meet the entry requirements.
- Tracing is allowed but please note it and make sure to credit all references used.
(If you have additional questions, check out the F.A.Q. section at the bottom of this journal)

F.A.Q.
frequently asked questions~ Are collaborations allowed?
Yes, collaborations are absolutely allowed! Just make sure if entering an effort judged class that you make note of who did each part of the entry so I can be accurate and fair in my assessments.
However, please note that in the case of multi-competitor collaborative entries, since these images usually mean that neither artist created a complete entry on their own, scores may not be as high for each participating character in all categories, depending on what part each artist did.
~ Can I enter my fawnling/fantasy breed character in these events?
As long as your character is moderately “equid typed” and can fulfill the class requirements (ex. wearing appropriate discipline tack, able to carry a humanoid rider and complete assigned tasks) then I am open to their participation in the events. Just note that some classes may have breed or category restrictions that would disqualify fantasy breeds.
~ Are leases or commissions allowed?
Absolutely.
~ Can you add more disciplines?
While I’m always open to considering new disciplines, for now I want to step back to more basic and common harpg disciplines. Certainly if there is a broad appeal for a discipline I may consider it, but I want to keep this a little simpler at this point.
~ Can I enter multiple horses in one image?
It is sometimes allowed. All competitors shown in an image must be in the same class AND it must be a class that allows multiple competitors in the ring at once. (Example: halter or racing classes have multiple competitors in the ring at the same time, but show jumping or dressage usually only allow one horse at a time.)
~ I have an old show entry for a show that was abandoned unjudged or has been deleted. Can I enter it here to get a result?
Yes! Either the Schooling or Freestyle classes are suitable for these entries as they don’t have any setting requirements.
RNG Judging:
RNG (random number generated) classes will have a minimum of 5 entries at time of running. If there are few community entrants, “ghost horses” will fill the remaining spots. If there are more than 5 entries, the class will be split into a second class.
Effort Judging:
My goal is always to meet each artist where they are at in their journey, and be fair to each competitor. Effort and creativity portions of the judging will always be compared against your own gallery only, and not against other artists. Some of the things I tend to look for are quality and details, and I love to see an artist stretch themselves and try something new - a new style or angle or technique. Under creativity, I look for how you used things like light, color, angles, or other ways you made your art stand out as unique and interesting.

— ABOUT THE JUDGING —
Judging is done by the host, MistyofSunrise. If you have any questions about judging or placing, feel free to reach out by note. (Note for disclosure: My own horses may enter, but will be handicapped in effort shows as they will never be able to earn full "effort" points.)RNG Judging:

2022 SVI Fall Harpg Young Stock + Sale
Auction & Raffle Countdown Clock It has been a while since I have bred very many young horses and even longer since I have had a sale, so here we are. All of these young stock have in-harpg lineage, some of them have very extensive bloodlines! Sales participants should be active harpg accounts (uploaded art to DA within the last year). By participating in the sale, you are agreeing to the rules listed below. (More detailed information including full pedigree with links is available by clicking on the image for each horse.) Sale Rules: Horses should not have changes to design or important info provided (including genetics, color, lineage or breed) without permission. Name is up to you and does not have any requirements - I do not require a prefix. Suggested use and temperament are just recommendations based on parentage - of course you are free to develop the character as you see fit. Purchase price will be expected within 1 week after close of sale (an exception for art
Misty's Commissions :: full
Commission Information & Rules > Slots & Availability :bulletyellow: Open slots will be noted below. I only have a limited number of slots available at any time, to ensure that I don't become overwhelmed. :bulletyellow: A single slot will generally be one (1) equine or canine drawing. However for "simple" level commissions, a slot may include a maximum of five (5) images if they are all to be on the same sheet. :bulletyellow: In general, I'd request that you kindly limit your requests to 1 available slot at one time, so others can have an opportunity as well. :bulletyellow: If slots are full you can be placed on a "wait list" for the next available slot. Being on a wait list is NOT a guaranteed commission as I may choose to close my commissions at any time (even if there are names on the wait list), but it means I will contact you first about whether you are still interested if a slot becomes open. Details and payment will not be arranged until your name is on an official

Looking For: Ponies
My current ponies are both hitting their senior years and I still have a crop of young riders at my HARPG Morganson Farm (and possibly more on the way :eyes: ). I'm looking for one or more new ponies. - Real breeds/crosses HIGHLY preferred but I will entertain strictly realistic created breeds. - Prefer established characters (has your kiddo outgrown their mount? :) ) I'm not looking for any designs (I could do that myself). - Would be open to breeding but this is not my preference. Foal would need to be backdated so I don't have to wait 10 years for it to be viable. - Prefer to pay in points but open to other arrangements. - Mares or geldings only. - Around 10-14hh. - Ages 8-16 years ideal. - Temperament/trainability is important. These would be for toddler to junior level riders and we need safe mounts! - Pony(ies) would be mostly lesson and small local show mounts. Smaller ponies would be doing mostly flat equitation, but larger ponies should be sporty enough for some
