Colors glittered and changed, shimmering like a fleeting rainbow. Kachina had never seen anything quite like it before. What were the walls even made of? She reached out to touch the surface of the wall, a little unsure of what she expected.
So entranced by the beautiful colors, Kachina barely realized she wasn't alone until another voice cut through her investigation.

"Wow, eres taaaan bonitaaaa!"

She turned to look at the other girl, though she didn't know what had been said. Had that been Spanish? The other girl was beautiful, her hair vibrant enough to be right at home with the iridescent walls. She was dressed similarly, the main body of her outfit the same style, though different colours, her boots were thigh high and curved and she wore no gloves.

"Hmm?" Kachina replied with a smile. She shook her head with a small laugh, her voice apologetic. "Sorry, I don't understand."

The girl with the red hair laughed, her voice echoing off the prismatic walls.

"I'm sorry," she giggled in English, a definitive Spanish lilt on her tongue, "I was excited, I have never seen anything like this! And..I said that you were really pretty," She smiled warmly at the other girl, a hint of a blush forming on her cheeks as she rolled back and forth on her feet. Her excitement could barely be contained at the entire situation.

She had always wondered if there were others like her, and now, here standing before her, was exactly what she'd always hoped for. It took all her restraint to not rush over and hug her and gush about how amazing this room, and she, was.
Kachina's smile grew as the other girl spoke. Already she liked this girl, she had a great energy.

"Thank you!" Kachina winked. "You're rather gorgeous yourself, you know."

Not wanting to make her feel strange, Kachina changed topic. "This place is amaaazing, isn't it!" She spun around, almost wanting to spin her companion around with her. But that would have probably been a little rude. Being far too forward too quickly was something she tried to quell. Instead, Kachina reached out for the red haired girl's hand, and gave it a small squeeze. "It's all so exciting. A bit of a relief, to find fellow comrades."

That was something she had worried about the most: being alone in all of this.

She continued to smile as she introduced herself. "My real name is Kachina, by the way. What should I call you?"

The other girl nodded, her pigtails swishing with each movement. Her cheeks flushed to nearly the same colour as her hair and eyes, though she grinned back. Maybe this was finally the beginning of her finding her real place in life. Finding real friends. Her heart raced with the thought of finally feeling like she might belong somewhere.

"It's like nothing I've ever seen!" she replied excitedly, taking the offered hand in both of her own and bouncing on her toes. "I can't believe we're actually here, though I'm not sure where HERE actually is, probablemente otro mundo o algo, it would be the only thing that made sense. If it was another world, I mean. I don't think there's any place like THIS on Earth!"

She glanced around on more time before giggling at her forgetfulness, "Tonta de mí, where are my manners! My name is Rosalina! I'm Sailor Ruby Salamander! You can call me Ruby if you like!"

Kachina definitely agreed with Ruby, this place was unlike anything she had ever imagined. Her body seemed to tingle with excitement. How wonderful that she was here with someone who seemed just as excited about the whole experience.

It was rather charming that Ruby inserted Spanish into her sentences. Kachina didn't know the language, having grown up with only English and Hopi to a smaller extent. Hearing the accented language brought an exotic lilt to Ruby's words.

"It's nice to meet you," Kachina replied. "I am also known as Sailor Carnelian Dragonfly, but I figure Kachina works better!" She laughed, before continuing on a different topic. Three distinct voices echoed within her mind. "Did you.. have a dream, before you woke up here?"

Memory of that dream brought about a myriad of emotions, and Kachina rolled back and forth on her feet in response to those emotions. Moving her body always made her feel more at ease.

"I did," Ruby nodded slowly. Her eyes glossing over as she remembered vividly every detail of the dream, "There was a large room with very tall columns of many, many colours. I felt like I would be lost there forever, it was so big. But then I heard voices calling me. Three of them, all calling me. They knew my name, and when I tried to find them, I came to pretty fountain and there was a crest of some sort and then there was a blinding light, and then I was here, and I didn't know what happened, and I was changed and then I saw you."

She caught herself and giggled softly. She tended to ramble a little when she was excited or trying to figure something out, but this was entirely beyond her imagination and wildest dreams. Composing herself as best she could without bursting from excitement, she tilted her head to the side, "Who do you think they were? Those voices?"

Various answers to Ruby's question came to mind, but none of them felt quite right. So instead, Kachina gave a small shrug and a small smile in response as she thought back once more to those voices.

"I don't know," she said after a moment. "But I think they are important. To all of us."

The calm reminiscing broke then, and Kachina's smile widened once more. "They must be powerful, to do all of this, to bring us together in this way." Kachina paused again, giving a soft hum. "But I'm happy I've met you, regardless of anything else. There's a certain kinship. A connection. Do you feel it too?"

"Yo también!" The red head's lips curved in to a similar smile. She nodded excitedly before switching back to English, "Me too! There's just..SOMETHING about all this, about you. It's exciting and it makes me all warm inside." She gave a short cough, pulling her shoulders up, her cheeks flushing once more. She mentally chastised herself. She was getting weird again. That was the kind of talk that made the kids at her school stay away from her. Ruby had just met this girl not even 10 minutes ago and was already talking strangely at her. She bit her lip, hoping Kachina didn't think her too odd.  Shifting her gaze to her hands she speaks softly, almost embarrassed, "Lo siento...I'm sorry, that was silly of me..."

Glancing around awkwardly, she finally notices the door, nestled comfortably in the multi-coloured wall that if it hadn't been for the fact that it was nearly solidly one colour unlike the walls, she would have missed it entirely, "Ah, maybe...maybe we can find someone out there? Whoever it is. Maybe they are waiting for us? Yes?"

Kachina shook her head when Ruby apologized for her words. "Don't be sorry," she said in response. "I completely agree with everything you said. I feel the same way too! I don't know what all of this means, but I'm ready for it."

As she said so, she smiled even more. Her heart still raced but it was a warm and good feeling. And she loved the fact that she was not alone in this. And she had Ruby to thank for that.

Kachina followed Ruby's line of sight, and noticed the door for the first time. How could she have missed it before? It stuck out in a different way than the rest of the room. Strange.

"Sounds like a good idea to me," Kachina replied. "Maybe there will be answers in there. Or others... others like us." It was as good a guess as any, really.

She paused for a moment, before reaching for Ruby's hand again, this time a little more gently, and she grinned. "Let's go look together, yeah?"

The girl in brown and red looked uncertainly at the hand held towards her, almost as if she couldn't believe that someone was being this genuinely kind to her. Chewing on her lip once more, she raises her eyes to meet Kachina's. The smile on the other girl's lips warmed her heart, slowly easing and erasing the doubts she held inside. Reaching out she took the offered hand, gently at first, then squeezed it more firmly as she too broke out in a grin, pushing back the threat of tears. It had been so very long since anyone save her family had WANTED to be around her. Kachina somehow made all those feelings of having never fit in disappear, just by smiling at her.

Turning towards the door, Ruby stepped closer to Kachina, linking arms, "Si! Together!"
