Siren

Siren
So I don't always write the story behind each picture but I thought I would with this one.
Recently I have been reading a series of books called Wicked Good Witches by Starla Silver.  

*Don't read next bit if by chance are reading or will be reading the 3rd book*

[In the third book the story goes onto explain how the mermaids can only come ashore one day each year.  Emily gets transformed into a mermaid and has until sunset to reverse the spell.  Whilst in this state of inbetweeness she experiences the pull of the sea and her "sisters" calling to her even though her human side wants to desperately stay on the shore.]

With this picture I wanted to portray a siren coming ashore for her one day on dry land but also emphasis on that element of how the sea still has that longing pull on her heart/soul.
