HERE WE GO!

-----------------------------------------

Name:
Kanine "Moon" Longtail

Gender:
Male!

Pokémon Species:
#262 Mightyena

Birthday:
17th Feburary

Age:
22

Height
:
5'8" (Around 175cm ... I shall measure another time =I)

Weight:
YOU CALLING ME FAT!?
73Kg (No idea in lb...I will convert another time T_T)

Personality:
Kanine has a out-going, eccentric personality, always being honest with his ideas and feelings, the Mightyena is someone you can easily get along with. He takes others opinions and thoughts strongly and he'll act and move to other's voices more than his own. It's not that he doesn't have confidence in his own thoughts and feelings, but he prefers to listen and act with other peoples ideas first before his own. During these times he'll strongly support his close friends, and will work hard to see it happen, one way or another. However during THESE moments Kanine can sometimes act with too much optimism that he'll end up acting a bit too much on his own, leading to others becoming a bit annoyed with him. But, he means good.

However whenever Kanine does a mistake, any accident that causes damage he will take it deadly serious, to a point where his personality almost does a complete flip. He'll be smiling but it'll be filled with guilt no matter how big or small the damage could be, and he'll over-work himself to fix the problem which can lead to unhealthy actions from sleeping up late or even over-working. He takes his own mistakes seriously while any mistakes done on him he treats very lightly. He'll even avoid seeing that person he did the mistake on, worried, and feeling as though he does not want to bother them ever.

Kanine however is always looking forward, and will not be disheartened by the mistake. He will learn from it, and will prove it you in the end.

History:

Kanine was born in a fairly high-class family, his father and mother highly skilled warriors from past battles and skimishes. From a young age Kanine was taught in the way of weaponry from both his parents, swords and shields from his father while spear-play from his mother. However Kanine was NOT, in anyway very "proper" like most high-class kids should be. He was wild and adventurous, and whenever he had the chance to learn or see something new, Kanine held no bars to jump onto it. While his father was irratated, and loudly yell "KANINE MOON LONGTAIL! GET YOUR BACK-SIDE HERE TO CONTINUE YOUR TRAINING YOU UN-GRATEFUL PUP!", his mother was happy to know that her son was out-going than both she or her father ever was.

And Kanine was! In the town they lived in, Kanine welcomed everyone to be his friend, hanging out with anyone ignoring all ranks to have a good run, to play hide n seek, or even play-fight with sticks and stones.

This slowly changed as Kanine grew up to take his parents teachings more and more seriously, though his attitude didn't change, he showed some promising skills and drive for fighting, even coming up with his own little style of fighting using a sword and a dagger, something still new in the era. However, this lead to Kanine slowly becoming...Sel-f-centered, over-confident with himself, feeling as if that "everything will work out!" And for a while, it did work out! Kanine found himself managing to get through most of life, even his own towns teaching school. Kanine even managed to come first in his towns own personal Fighting Tournament, earning him more praises and fame. Truely, at the age of 15, Kanine was... "Blessed". Kanine however did not show this, or let it be something for him to brag or gloat over... But anyone, no matter how cold or expressionless they be, constant accomplishments can lead to bad things...

And it happened. At the age of 17, Kanine was out hunting with his friends in town, and they were simply out hunting for wild Tepigs, perhaps wild Unfezants for a good meal... Until the party spotted some rogue bandits, rough-tough looking bandits. While the other party members voted to quickly head back to town to warn the town of this possible trouble, Kanine suggested that they capture the bandits, thus saving the trouble AND getting themselves to be even more famous! And well known. The other members did not agree, for none of them had experience in "real" battle, though Kanine who had achieved alot, and he KNEW he did, thought the opposite. Without waiting for his groups consent, Kanine charged out, weapon in hand. His friends, with great reluctance went after to stop the over-confident dog. A small battle began, and while the bandits had more experience in "real" battle, Kanine clearly had better skills and reaction to avoid any damage, he was manage to take 2 to 3 of the bandits down. Kanine was becoming more and more confident, feeling he was doing great for his town, for his friends! He was going to do his first real battle and will succeed! ... Until a sharp scream of pain rang out. Kanine blinked and turned around to find that one of his hunting member was wounded, a dagger to the thigh. This almost cost Kanine his life as another struck out, nipping Kanine's right ear. With a growl of pain, Kanine struck out, knocking the bandit out, but he turned around to see his other members losing heart as soon as one of their own got stabbed...wounded, bleeding. Kanine saw this, and he quickly yelled out to retreat to the forest. The rest of the members happily agreed, and managed to escape back to town...

Back in town, Kanine and his hunting members got their wounded friend to the healers. While healing, families of others came to see what the commotion was. As they explained what happened, Kanine's parents came to the scene, where they looked at Kanine with deep dissappointment. Kanine first tried to reason with them, saying that it was for the town, that he wanted to protect them, like his parents did!

"...Were the bandits attacking the town?"
"...Welll..No! But they could have been! They could have been planning to raid the village and..."
"How many were there?"
"...Um... 5? 6 maybe...Look, the point is..."
"The POINT, is Kanine, is that you attacked perhaps bandits that were simply looking for other prey. Perhaps surviving on their own. And even IF, they were planning a raid on our town, did you believe that 6 can take on me and our guards?"

"...Well...No..But, I didn't want to risk it! We could clear them and not have them come and..."

"So you decided to take actions, going into a fight that you had no experience in along with 5 other's who were in the same ship as you."
"But I fought them, and they weren't THAT strong! I mean, I'm still alive, a small scar. I know Clint got hurt but he's still alive and kicking! They managed to heal him he..."

"You got your own friend hurt cause of your own action."

This made Kanine shut up instantly, his usual bright green eyes becoming blank at this comment. Kanine mouth was agape, but nothing came out.

"Your own action, confidence, ideas and gamble got your own comrade injured. You had confidence in your own skill and strength that you forgot to consider other's feelings and confidence that you did not think of the possiblity of THEM, getting hurt."

The room was deadly silent as other townfolks held their head, looking away. The Hunting party looked at Kanine with pity, wanting to help their friend...But they couldn't. Kanine soon hung his head, eyes wide in shock at the reality of what REALLY happened. Sure, they got out safe...Sure, he was strong, he took out 2, even 3... But he remembered now how reluctant his friends looked, how much THEY didn't want to risk it... And how he still charged in, getting his own friend hurt... It wasn't the point that the friend was healed...They got hurt, and it was not his skill or his view but plain luck, that they didn't get killed, and his own fault they got hurt.

Soon after this incident, Kanine became...Somewhat more tamed. While he still had his upbeat, loud and optimistic attitude, it was clear he's become more serious, taking his own responsiblities and actions with care. While alot found this a nice change, his mother was now worried for now Kanine wasn't as adventurous, and wasn't as confident as before. Ever since the incident, Kanine clearly looks guilty and weighed down by it for he hardly shows his face to his own friends as much, worried if they hated him, if they still held it against him. Soon, his mother decided that Kanine needs a change in pace, in everything...

At the age of 22, Kanines mood has gotten better, though he still held the memories and feelings strong in his heart which made other's still worried for his well-being. Soon however this would change when his parents called him one day, and decided that Kanines... Skill, and level in sword-play was becoming more individual, and that his parents decided that they wanted him to be taught outside of his town, and to meet other's like him. At first Kanine disagreed to this, saying that he found no one else better than his parents, but his parents shook their head. They told him that Kanine needs to learn of the outside world more, to learn more and more experience of not just his town and family, but even greater, bigger things! Soon, Kanine's previous wild and adventurous side began to flame up, bit by bit, until Kanine took a deep breath. He looked at his parents and nodded.

"K...K...Got it mother, father." Kanine said strongly, though he couldn't help to let a small tear shed. "...So...Where to?"

"...Yarelts."

"...:iconwthplz: Yawhat?"

"Yarelts. Institution of Protection."

Hobbies:
- Training: Kanine never neglects training with his weapons, and whenever he has down time or some free time, he'll be in the courtyard swinging his sword, and practicing his own Sword Style, Wild-Fang.
- Camping: Well, if he was allowed but Kanine loves camping out alot, going out at nighttime to rest under the stars, a warm firepit next to him with some wild Tepig meat cooking.
More to come!

House:
House Keldz, where he hopes to meet those who aim to be strong, and good willed for other's so Kanine can learn from them.

Weapon:
- Scent Stopper Broad Sword: A typical, well weighted single handed sword, Kheld uses this along with his off-hand dagger when he goes into combat. It is a little longer than your typical Broadswords (Single handed swords) though the balance allows Kheld to wield it with enough finesse to not let the length get in the way.

- Scent Stopper Long Dagger: A weapon that could easily be mistaken for a short-sword, this dagger is Kheld's off-hand weapon. It's wide blade and wider guard allows Kheld to guard and parry against most attacks, and also long enough to be initimidating enough to be used as a offensive weapon when needed.

Kheld uses both weapons together when fighting, or knowingly known as "Case-Weapon" (Single Hand and Dagger combination) style, balancing out offense and defense with both weapons depending on the situation, his actions depriving of multiple actions happening once, Attacking while Blocking a the same time and so forth. While other's will advise him to take a shield, Kheld believes having a shorter weapon is affective.

"So? Just because this thing is short, don't think it can't do anything in REAL, close combat...*Grin*"

Kheld has also come up with his own Sword-Style known as Wild-Fang where he get's into difference stances to make certain attacks/actions stronger/effective, mixing up his offensive and defensive capability. They usually imitate wild pokemon...

NOTE: Scent-Stopper swords are also known as "Beak-Breaker" for their distinct pommel shape, where it literally looks like a stopper of a vintage glass perfume bottle hence the "scent stopper", and the slightly pointed-shape acts as a powerful blunt-weapon, sometimes with longer spikes to even do greater damage, hence the "Beak-Breaker"

Class/SubClass:
-Warrior / Sentry: In his life Kheld has been the one to take action, though while he grew up around his old village friends and family, he always enjoyed being able to prove he could do anything, especially when it comes to sword play or helping others. But he learned, that just being the only one who knows how to fight, or what to do in situations...Or being the only one "confident" could risk not only himself but also his friends and possibly future allies. Wanting to learn how to be a better fighter, a leader, someone who can take his close allies through any situation, Kheld signed up to this class to hopes to learn to be helpful to those around him.

Extras/Fun Facts:

- Kanine, while being a Dark Type Mightyena, and also a pokemon known to be one of the more fiercer, ferocious pokemon, he'll go under being the most tame and kind. Because of this, Kanine hardly shows much angered or ferocious side of a Mightyena, and doesn't use any Dark-Type related moves even though he knows Dark-Pulse.

- Kanine's personal Sword-style, Shaded-Moon</i> is something he personally came up with, a style that allows him to fight on par against any foe without relying on his own moves or ability to win with. This style consists of 5 different "stances", each one having advantage different. Even now he trains to come up with more and more different stances.

- Kanine's Ability is Intimidate, but because of his very optimistic and forward personality, he hardly ever activates set ability. It will activate when he's truely enraged, but this has become very rarely.

- Kanine openly accepts anything, anyone...Except ghosts. Not that he hates them, but he finds Ghost, where "nothing physical can even hurt them..." to be rather scary for him, and if any ghost type greets him, Kanine will show nervousness openly.

Move Pool:

Double Team - Kanine uses this when he's low on stamina, relying on the move itself to allow him to make doubles of himself. He also uses it in sync with his Shaded-Moon sword style.
Strength - A move Kanine uses to give him a burst of strength to counter attacks and heavy blows. However he uses it only when he's forced to block/parry/overpower his foe for this move also strains his body.
Dark Pulse - A move Kanine's mother taught him, though it's hardly used...Wonder why...
Secret Move - Kanine's primary move he uses with his Sword Style. Secret Move uses the Terrain to it's advantage to allow attacks with different Secondary Effects, and Kanine uses this in sync with his sword play to get that extra advantage against any foe.

Sword Style - Shade Moon

1st Stance - Heaven: Kanine takes a high-guard stance, Longsword aimed high, but the arm pushed slightly out, the off-hand held waist height. This allows any strikes from above the head to be quick and accurate, a very counter-reliant stance. It purposely opens any "weak-spot" for enemies to be baited into, and the moment any foe attempts to attack his torso or lower body, a very quick, and accurate strike will drop.

2nd Stance - Dance: Kanine holds his weapon by his waist, longsword-blade pointing out from the back, the offhand on the other side. While this makes his attacks very light and shallow, Kanine relies on really quick steps, twists and sways of his body to avoid any attack while giving out short, quick attacks. Very offensive, and combined with Secret-Power it makes dishing out status effects very easily.

3rd Stance - Mountain: Kanine holds the sword head height, blade pointing forward, the off-hand held low, by the thighs. Another offensive stance, this uses "Angle'd Strikes" to the max where Kanine rushes into his foe, and as soon as he's in range, he'll thrusts with the sword. He'll then angles his body low or high to thrust from difficult-to-parry angles, aiming for the torso and especially the middle of the chest for powerful strikes.

4th Stance - Wind: Kanine relaxes his weapon, but holds the longsword behind him, pointing out. This uses "Measure" effectively. Because the sword is behind his body, it makes knowing the length of his sword harder, and Kanine will fight in his max-range, striking out wide and round, never going too close.

5th Stance - Path: Kanine stands his ground, facing his enemy head on and holds both blade evenly on his side. The solid footing gives Kanine a strong lower-half to take on more stronger blows, or even parry heavy blows. He also uses Strength in this stance alot to hold and ward off even the strongest of foes long enough for Kanine to counter with a heavy strike.
