All old wounds now re-opened

Experimenting with a new inking technique - of course it had to be Maya

This time it's a drawing from her past. After the fall of the rebellion the emperor agreed to let (nearly) everyone go if Maya, one of the generals, will be left behind and will join his seraglio as a hostage in case the peasants and lower class would want to start the civil war again. She was about 16-17 years old. This drawing is the moment when she is presented to the emperor as his new concubine, just after she heard her brother (with whom she joined the rebellion) was tortured to death by the emperor's orders.
Like I said - nearly everyone would be let go.

On a side note I'll be away for the weekend, so the messages will have to wait till Monday, sorry
I hope you'll enjoy this inking technique because there will be more in the future

I think it is appropriate for Maya and Kouran to be together during their hard time after the rebellion so I drew twin pieces finally
