Breeding: 2

"Oooh, the handsome guy next door has a new Carrier." One of the orange Alpha's four Carriers was perched atop a tree, peering into the neighboring habitat through a small rectangular hole. He slipped down the tree to join the other three below.

A second one laughed, shoulder length silver hair swishing. "Did you hear him crying yesterday? Poor little thing, I hope that big hunk doesn't plow him into the ground, he wouldn't last a second."

"Well I, for one, wouldn't mind being plowed into the ground by him~" The third and blond Carrier sighed dreamily.

"He's probably waaay better at mating than Orangey is. I wouldn't mind it either." The last one added, leaning against a moss covered rock.

"Oh Tino! But you're his Queen!" The first gasped, green eyes widening. "Think of how sad he'd be if he heard you say that!"

Tino scoffed. "Ha! He's over there, anyways. Behind that rock. His tail is sticking out. Besides, he's still mad we all poked him for so long while chanting that he's a pervert." The tail quickly pulled back behind the rock.

"Well it's true." The blond shrugged. They all nodded in agreement. Tino stretched, yawning. His tail curled up, the brown feathers ruffling.

"Oh man, I'm tired. And hungry. What about you guys?"

They all nodded. Tino turned towards the rock their Alpha was behind. "Hey, pervert Alpha! Get us food. We're hungry."

A depressed voice responded. "You guys are mean!"

"Well it's not like we're lying." Tino flicked his tail, brown feathers fluffing out, "Silverstein and Hunny had to pry you off Topaz and I yesterday because you tried to mate with us outside when we're already pregnant because we took off our sweaters to relax in the pond, you pervert."

"I'm sorry..."

Tino didn't accept it, "Doesn't cut it. Topaz nearly drowned because of you and had to spend an hour in the healing square. And you almost elbowed Silverstein in the stomach when he's pregnant too."

"Yeah it was really scary." The blond Carrier added in. "They had to do a bunch of tests because I can't understand humans like Hunny and Silverstein. You know how much I'm scared of shots."

Tino snapped his fingers, "I asked for food! We're hungry! I bet Solomon wouldn't have made us wait so long." He said, comparing him to the black Alpha.

"Ooh, yeah. Solomon's so nice to his Carriers, even though he has so many!" Silverstein giggled. He had his hands on his belly, rubbing the small bulge he had.

"And he's so caring to whichever Carrier he has pregnant, Tino, Silverstein, and I could use some of that kind of treatment." Topaz plucked a blade of grass from the ground as he spoke. He blew on it, and it fluttered back to the ground. The blond leaned against a tree trunk and rested a hand on his belly as well. It was a bit more pronounced than Silverstein's. As if he was four months with a human child.

"And he treats his Queen like a Queen, unlike you! I'm not so sure if I am your Queen or if I'm just your favorite one to mate with for fun! Do you even love me? Or am I just a plaything?" Tino asked accusingly. A whimper came from behind the rock.

The brunet Carrier hefted himself up, a struggle since he was almost due with a large clutch of eggs. He waddled over to the rock and peered behind it. The orange Alpha was huddled up against the rock, hugging his knees to his chest. Tino stepped over to him and knocked on the top of his head. "Go get us food, pervert."

Orange reluctantly nodded and crawled off with another whimper. Tino sighed as he watched him slink away. "How bothersome!"

"Oh, weren't you a little harsh Tino?" Hunny asked him. "We've been beating him like this for two whole days."

"Hah! He knows we love him to death. It's how I was taught to show affection. Be submissive physically, but be verbally dominant. My mother taught me that, and he was successful with every Alpha he bred with."

"Ooh! Story time! You never tell us about where you came from! Or why you're so mean to Orange."

"Fine, let's all share stories." Tino waddled back over to them and sat back down. He got himself comfortable, cross legged with his heavily swollen belly taking up his whole lap. He leaned against the mossy rock and rested a hand on top of his belly, the other arm wrapped around it. "Alright. I'm not that interesting, I don't have a sob backstory like that new kid, Six, and I wasn't donated like Topaz."

"You always call me a donation. I was a gift from a sponsor."

"That's called donating. Well, I just said my mother was verbally dominant. That's where it all starts. My mother belonged to a very rich general who kept him well groomed and well fed. He kept every single one of my siblings and I, until we were old enough to sell, or if we were promised to be given to whoever owned the Alpha our father was. My mother taught all us Carrier pups to be physically submissive and desirable, while at the same time, to be verbally dominant, to twist any Alpha we came across around our finger. Any Alpha siblings were usually taken by our fathers' owners, but mother taught them how to be kind and loving, easy to deceive."

"Wow what the hell."

Tino shushed him, "Shh, Hunny, you wanted to hear the story. Don't interrupt me." He cleared his throat. "Now, where was I? Ah yes. My mother would be put into a cage with whoever he was to breed with, and within an hour he'd have them doing whatever he wanted. Unless there was a group and the Alpha had a Queen. Mother always stepped back if there was a Queen. He didn't want to be hurtful to them. He had many many clutches, and we were always welcoming new siblings into the family, marveling at the different fur colors and feathers and markings and differences we all had. We loved to compare ourselves and have fun. Some of us had wings, some tails, and a few had both. Then one day mother gathered us all up and told us we had to hide in our cave. The General who owned us all had purchased an Alpha for my mother. He was tired of loaning him out."

"What kind of Alpha was he?" Topaz asked.

"He was a chief Alpha. Wings, tail, horns, the works. Mother had bred with him once before, and I was the result. Just me, a simple Carrier who looks rather plain."

"Tino! You're beautiful! You're not plain!"

"Well, when I was little I looked plain. For some reason my downy feathers stayed with me a lot longer than they should have. I constantly looked like a hatchling in halfmolt."

"Oh no! You poor thing!" Silverstein exclaimed.

"Hatchlings look so odd during halfmolt. Partially downy feathers, partially adult feathers, bald spots." Topaz shook his head. "You poor poor dear."

"I didn't have bald spots until I actually shed!" Tino retorted. "But anyways, that's what happened. My father came and mother made us all hide in the back. He thought that the Alpha would kill or hurt us, because Alphas usually dislike hatchlings that aren't their own. He closed the door to the cave and locked it from the inside. We stayed in there for three days. Luckily, since the cave had a small back door, the owner could put food and water through there. We were all terrified. Then, on the fourth day, the Alpha broke down the door. Five of us got hurt, and mother was furious. He attacked the Alpha."

The three were hooked onto the story. Carriers didn't attack Alphas they were supposed to be with!

"The Alpha ran away from him and my mother was scolded by the General. The five of us that got hurt were taken to get fixed up, including me. Me and my four siblings were terrified of the Alpha for the longest time. Mother protected us then on in a certain section of our habitat, and if the Alpha ever came close, mother would hiss at him. This continued for a while, until me and another of my siblings were looking for a ball we were playing with that had rolled off. We split up to find it faster. I got lost, and wandered around the huge forest habitat for a long time. I called for my sibling but he didn't hear me. A while passed until it got late and I was sleepy. I was about to curl up in a bunch of roots when lo and behold, the Alpha found me." Tino laughed.

"Little me was absolutely terrified. I didn't know at the time that he was my father, although I suppose looking back it was super obvious, I look really similar to him. So I did the obvious thing. I started crying. I tried to run away and he scooped me up easily before I could take two steps. So I did the next obvious thing, I screamed for my mother. He covered my mouth and carried me farther away from the little section where the rest of my siblings were. He brought me to a makeshift nest he had made himself at the complete other side of the habitat. I was put down in it, and he stuck a piece of fruit in my mouth so I wouldn't be able to scream. And that continued. He kept doing that every time I tried to scream, so eventually I gave up and curled up in the center of the nest, a piece of fruit in my mouth and tears running down my face. I fell asleep after finishing the fruit."

"Sounds like something Orange would do to shut a hatchling up!" Topaz commented. That earned a laugh from all of them.

"So when I woke up in the morning, I was picked up. The pattern continued. I'd try to scream, and in went another chunk. I ended up throwing up from eating too much and the Alpha carried me through the forest as I cried from throwing up. Surprisingly, he brought me back to the section where my mother was. My mother was about to attack when he heard me. The Alpha put me down a few feet from the 'border' and nudged me towards my mother. I was still nauseous and crying so I didn't move. I was picked up again and handed to my mother. He took me, glared at the Alpha, and quickly took me back to all my siblings. When I finally stopped crying and didn't feel sick anymore, I told my mother what happened, and I was put in the big nest we had and fell back asleep. From that point on mother wouldn't hiss at the Alpha unless he came within ten feet of one of us, and he had him wrapped around his finger in no time, all of us watching in awe as the Alpha repeatedly submitted to our mother. So I learned from that, and eventually I grew out of my downy feathers and became pretty."

"So how'd you end up here, then?"

"Well when I was finally grown, the General realized that my mother was in no way going to breed with my father ever again, and that my mother was now a Queen so he couldn't breed him with random Alphas anymore. So he looked to me and my remaining siblings, and decided that I was going to be the next one to be bred with. But unfortunately I was like my mother, except I wasn't nice to the Alphas. My mother always slapped around my father, so I picked up the habit of being mean. I was realized to be useless after twenty different Alphas refused to breed with me, and I them, and I was sent here in hopes to solve my problem in refusing to breed. I was stuck with Orange who had never seen another Flok in his life, and I easily could take advantage of him and make him do whatever I want. Which is why we mate so much. I'm going to be just like my mother, except I'm going to only have a bunch of hatchlings with a single Alpha."

Hunny nodded thoughtfully, "Makes sense. Now where's Orange? We sent him a while ago."

Tino shrugged, "Probably sulking more. Let's go back to the nests, I'm getting cold and my back is starting to hurt. We can keep telling stories there." The four of them all got up and headed to where they slept.
And here we meet the orange Alpha's group! Featuring Tino who is loud and mean and also one of my favorites so far. Also Orange wasn't named after the fact that he's bright orange, he was named after the fruit. You'll see why someday.
The next two chapters are also about these guys seriously I went crazy with them. I love origin stories.
And Tino said 'healing square' which means the medical building on the reserve. He doesn't know what it's actually called but it's a square building w vets so 'healing square' it is.
Orange doesn't really care that they're mean to him since he thinks it's how they show affection when they're actually just a bunch of brats.
