From an outside point of view, Shun is a model student with both brains and brawn's. She's always punctual, has never done poorly on an exam, and has never failed to earn herself a spot on the school's sports podium. At first her successes were simply to impress her parents, but after realizing they'd never see that, she begun achieving things simply because she could. (Or so she says) Deep down she has always considered herself average to others, and puts focus on trying to better herself.

Although she has the makings of a great leader and has never struggled to make acquaintances, shes never made many friends either. (Nor does she use the word lightly) It's because she's hardly ever felt genuinely close to others enough to get attached. With that said, the select few that are close are those who get to see how generous, and supportive a friend she is. She puts their needs above her own, whether it be with giving her time, or anything of materialistic value. She's the one you can always count on to be there for you night or day, even if she's busy with something else. She'll lend you money without wondering if she'll get it back and she'll be sure to give someone a piece of her mind if they so much as say a bad word about her loved ones. She wouldn't like to be told this, but she's quite motherly at times.

She's very vocal about her opinions and thoughts, (especially when it comes to her distrust of new people in the lives of those she cares for) but not at all regarding herself and her emotions. The thought of bringing up the topic or opening up about what she's truly feeling makes her feel weak and vulnerable. She'd rather put up walls than purposely put herself in that position. If there's a problem she's unwilling to face, she'll push it to the back of her mind and focus on other tasks in an attempt to distract herself. The issue will eventually resurface even though she wishes it could stay buried.

Her jealousy comes not from wanting what others have, or the need to beat them competitively, but rather from the fear of being replaced or losing relationships of great significance to her. If nothing changed and everything stayed the same, she would be content... but life doesn't work that way. She recognizes that these emotions are ignoble, and therefore tries her best to mask the insecurities and fear of abandonment for the sake of those she cares about. Shes capable of keeping up appearances, for the most part.

Bio:

Shun was born the second and only daughter of the Yanagi family. Her house consisted of both her parents, and one older brother. Her parents always held high expectations for their children, (leaving little room for failure) to a degree that most people would find controlling or overwhelmingly strict. And although they weren't bad parents per se, Shun had a hard time being around them because of this. No amount of good grades or sports trophies in school could make them give her praise. It felt futile to try and please them, when they never showed they were proud of her achievements. Her brother, how ever, had always cared and acknowledged her hard work (despite earning himself more shiny trophies and awards than she ever had at the same age) Even though they were years apart, they had always been close growing up. Shun knew she could always rely on him, and even now that they are older, she still feels attached to him.

When Shun is not staying at the dorms, she is staying at her brothers apartment (that is also by the school.) He's currently her guardian, and has been for almost over a year now. (With their parents consent as they work out what seems to be a probable divorce.) Her brother has been very accommodating, and says he's happy to have her around. Regardless of that, Shun can't help feeling like she is sometimes in the way. Especially in regards to his relationship with his long time girlfriend who would like to settle down, tie the knot, and start a family. In a way, it's something Shun selfishly fears might become a reality sooner than she would like.
