Cactus Fields Tasks Chapter 2

In the dry desert landscape sits a small, but growing town that was Cactus Fields. An oasis in the harsh conditions of the desert it's also where the guilds of Andalusst made their temporary HQ for the time being. After rescuing the merchants from Gabites and escorting them out of the deep ravine, Arela needed to recover from her battle leaving Apollo to do the second task.

"Let's see...." He looked at the task paper in his paw "Either assist with construction or help with man the info booth..." 

With Arela still in recovery mode from the battle with the pack of Gabite, he decided to help with the info booth while other teams set up the BBQ night. He would've gone for the construction but all of the positions needed were already filled up by other teams with mons much stronger than him.

But as he approaches the booth....

"Apollo!" A familier voice is heard as he looks to see the shiny yellow vulpix grinning a grin.

"Daniel~!" he runs to the booth and they bump paws. "How have you've been man~!? We haven't seen you since that crazy battle with that gang!"

"Yeah! I'm back on the team and I think I might have a chance with Alexis afterall~!" He exclaimed.

Apollo snickered "Good for you buddy, mind if I help out?" 

"By all means~!" Daniel scooted aside letting Apollo grab a stool seat at the booth, and then they waited as Mons passed by. As they day dragged on, they were quickly getting bored in the humid desert heat and tired and sweaty.

"I hate this heat....I should've brought more water than I did or at least trimmed my fur" Apollo flatly stated.

But just as they were thinking that they won't be getting anyone interested in the group, a Sandshrew and a Sandslash came and stopped by. 

"The Explorers?" the little female Sandshrew asked.

"That's right! We help explore the lands around our city, explore dungeons, & help those in need!" Daniel said proudle.

"Just yesterday we helped save a merchant group trapped in a ravine escape to safety!" Apollo added.

"Wow!" The Sandshrew exclaimed as she turned to the older male Sandslash, "Big Bro this could be the group we were looking for!"

"Hmm...how does housing work?" the Sandslash asked leaning onto the booth raising an eyebrow.

"Well we have our own dorms, but once you earn enough money you can buy your own place in Andalusst!" Apollo exclaimed. "You also get free food and clothing when you first join!"

"Yeah, we even have a barbeque for everyone tonight, even you guys are invited!" Daniel smiled seeing a distinct twinkle in the Sandshrew's eyes.

The Sandslash gave it some thought and smirks "You have my interest, maybe we'll join you guys after all if we ever visit Andalusst. Come along little sis" He goes on his way.

"Coming big bro! Thanks for the info you two! See you at the BBQ!" The Sandshew chased after her brother.

"Awesome~!! We might have a new group coming!" Daniel said full of pride.

"That little girl was so cute~" Apollo said as he give a quick stretch,  but then he leaned too far back "Whoa whoa whoa!!! " He falls off his chair & into the ground getting a mouth full of sand.

"You okay Apollo!?" Daniel worriedly asked, only to get a reply of hacking & spitting.

"Gross sand....and I think my nose got some sand in it too! Ah...AH...AHCHOO!!" he sneezed on Daniel. "oops....sorry."

"Gross dude....just....gross." Daniel replied wiping off sand off his fur, but he sighed proudly knowing they did a job well done.
