Appearance:
Aeker matured early and handsomely. His nickname "The Oak" referring to his defined, muscular build. Aeker is recognized for his long mane and tail as well as his heavy feathering and full beard, which he keeps neat and clean by braiding, especially during rut. He sports a large head with chiseled features. He is short in body and most of his mass in his legs and hindquarters, enabling a powerful charge to back up the thick neck, barrel chest and sleekly toned shoulders. A holdover of Aeker's Royal upbringing is his careful attention to cleanliness and a respectable public appearance. Aeker grows a graceful, impressive rack each season. He is the picture of an iconically dark, handsome Glenmore stag.

Personality:
Faithful - Discerning - Prideful - Fair - Chivalrous - Patient - Manipulative
Loyal to a fault and a constant source of advice and support for those he cares for, Aeker lives up to his nickname in more than one fashion. Aeker is a confidante at heart, patient and kind; the very picture of a chivalrous knight of old. He cares for does and is gentler with them than most of his peers, often fighting for a doe pursued by a questionable stag in rut, only to set her free upon winning her from the villain. He believes that does, even Princesses, should have at least some say in their mates; though once a Princess is betrothed, he believes she should stay faithful to her mate. Aeker has the pride to match his upbringing as a traditional Royal despite his distaste for the pompousness of the other Lords and Ladies. He has a near-exaggerated sense of fairness, and a lawyerish approach to dealing with politics. He has skill in diplomacy and political maneuvering, and this can sometimes get him pegged as manipulative and untruthful. He's not a liar, but he does spin words to his best advantage. 

History:
Aeker was born to a Lord and a Princess in good standing with the King. Aeker was a fawn of their youth and their eldest son. He was raised a traditional Lord of Glenmore, always well behaved and above reproach. Aeker became the stronger of his parent's sons and was his father's favorite. As a buck his father sparred with him and encouraged his love of history and lore.
When he was seven years of age, Aeker was given a young princess doe as a mate. He treated her fairly and never forced himself upon her. Their relationship grew slowly over time, and the two actually began to care for each other. After the third rut since their betrothal, the doe consented to breeding. The following spring she birthed twin stags, one stillborn and died herself several months later. The surviving colt was handed to a nanny to be raised. Aeker has never met his surviving son.
Crushed by the loss, Aeker became reclusive and took to sparring as an outlet; eventually deciding to join the Royal Guard to escape the pettiness of the courts for which he no longer had even the semblance of patience.

Aeker does make time for family, specifically for his young sister Princess Myrna. Despite his reservations about her naivete and often childish behavior, he loves her dearly for the entirety of who she is, and protects her honor and reputation with the members of court.
