Hey, guys. I'm rather bored, right now, sooo, I've decided that I'll try making one of my little Sketch contests, again~! Since I have kind of a silly idea for one- after all, why not? If you win, you get $20.00 out of it~ ;D



This is Mariposa Madison.

If you look through her profile, you will notice that she is not a very nice person: arrogant, inconsiderate, narcissistic, loud, condescending, impatient, and prudish are words that could all describe her. Why is she like that? Who knows, maybe she's just...

Marry Merry Miss Mari

The goal of this little contest is all about crack-shipping one of your characters with Mariposa, sending them both on a date that she will likely forget... But your character never will. ;D

How will it end? Is romance in the air? Does Mariposa complain the entire night? Does your character put up with Her Royal Highness' demands? It's ALL up to you! ;D Whether the night ends with broken hearts, broken skulls, or a broken bed, I want to see how YOU envision a date with this spoiled rotten, social elitist fashion model~<3

The Rules

Have a character of yours (male, or female - Mariposa IS bisexual!) take Mariposa out on their idea of a Dream Date and show us how it turns out; whether disastrous, or successful! The more drastic the pair is, the better~<3 ;D

Aside from that, there's not much to say, except for these few guidelines, perhaps - ALL OF WHICH MUST BE FOLLOWED, IN ORDER FOR THE ENTRY TO COUNT.

KEEP MARIPOSA IN-CHARACTER!!

I will post a personality excerpt into this journal for you to help do this, as well as a few of her favorite activities, likes, and dislikes. If you have any questions as to how to portray her, DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK!!

NO HEAVY VIOLENCE, ABUSE, OR DEATH!!

Even if the characters would not get along while on their date, the nature of this contest is to have fun - and the picture should reflect that nature! Some childish banter is okay, but it stops being fun when the characters are just killing one another - even if Mariposa is annoying and overly-picky.

NO SEXUAL ACTS!!

Keep it clean, yo.

SOME RESTRICTIONS APPLY
 
You may draw Mariposa in a style that you feel comfortable with, just as long as she's portrayed as either a Sonic/anthro character of the appropriate species (fox), or a human.

You may also dress her however you feel for her date, so long as it is appropriately modest - as a prudish character, Mariposa would not wear much in the way of revealing clothes.

Suggestions

Note that this is a SKETCH CONTEST, meaning that it is NOT required that you color your entry! Of course, you're more than welcome to do so, but if you do, please keep the colors monotone for the entry, itself!

About Mariposa

Mariposa is a fashion model, working for the company Simplistique - as such, she takes a lot of pride in the way she looks, feeling insulted when her efforts to look good go unmentioned. She always dresses at least somewhat modestly for her work.

Words that could be used to describe Mariposa's personality: arrogant, inconsiderate, narcissistic, loud, condescending, overdramatic, and prudish. As somebody who feels it is her privilege to be treated like royalty, she bosses other employees around, constantly threatening to have them fired if they do not perform a task in exactly the way she desires.

Other words that can describe Mariposa: open-minded, faithful, careful, sensitive, intelligent, committed, reflective. While she doesn't often show it, Mariposa knows she doesn't tend to treat people well and sometimes questions the morality of her own actions - hers is a tough business, though and as a result she always plays it tough, doing whatever she feels she must to remain on top.

Mariposa is also an actor and she has been known to play the part of the victim in order to win the sympathy of her fans.

Likes: Flaunting her wealth, fame, and social status; being praised by the media, her fans, and her fellow models; dancing at high-end night clubs; staying at home while absorbed in a puzzle book; wearing the flashiest outfits that will steal the spotlight.

Dislikes: People who steal HER spotlight; people who fail to follow her orders perfectly; being interrupted and/or ignored; people that insult her outfits (This is her Berserk Button); "uncultured" people; being one-upped, especially if she loses her spotlight; sexual humor.

Favorite Activities: Visiting well-kept parks, solving brain teasers and other such puzzles, sewing her own clothes, drinking martinis at her favorite clubs, visiting high-class restaurants on a daily basis, aerobics classes.

This is a Sketch Contest! And as the title of the journal suggests, there is a monetary prize, for the first time. XD So, here's how the break-down is going to go~

1st Place:

~ $20.00 given to you, via PayPal! Alternatively, you may get any commissions of your choice up to a $20.00 total (Or dA Points, if you REALLY want those). ~

~ If I'm not lazy, I'll even throw in some sort of sketch to commemorate your victory ~

~ This silly crack-ship will become canon, if we both so desire it to be - even if they don't last longer than this one date ~

2nd Place:

3rd Place:

~ 1 head sketch of any character of your choosing frowning in disappointment ~

Deadline

Since this is a sketch contest and sketches don't take too long to draw, I'll say this whole thing will end November 5th~! That gives you a month to sketch up an entry - more than enough time, if you ask me! uvu
