Balaur... has issues. Aggressive, Indignant, antisocial and an all around problem drak. He was abandoned at Argyle's for these very temperament issues; and this betrayal seems to have left him even more volatile. He won't obey anyone but Astarote himself, or Vapaie, knowing better than to go against the elder. Everyone else however is fair game for the rook, especially his pyro-challenged owner. True to form however the girl steadfastly refuses to give up on the vicious drak.
Funfact: His volatile temper is actually the reason for his being both a hybrid and a pygmy. He made the mistake of slamming head-on into a wall in one of his charges; and managed to knock a shelf of potions atop himself. Tsillah got the fun task of presenting the spitting fireball (and now steam-spewing) pygmy to her Alchemy professor to prove her drak really had 'eaten' her homework... Balaur was subsequently banned from the magehall.
