The Manipulator - Kijima

Kijima was born as a science experiment, created to be an enhanced human for a corrupt government. He is several times physically stronger, tougher, and faster than a normal human. One day when he was seven years old, a rebel Russian group broke into his facility and killed every scientist and experiment there and Kijima watched silently instead of begging for his life as the others did. One of the rebels found him interesting and let him live. She knew the other rebels would not let him into their group, so she simply left him behind and wished him luck, tossing him a pack of playing cards to keep him entertained. He went onto the street and found ways to survive, learning how to read people and manipulate them to his own end. He never sought after wealth or prestige or a place to belong, he simply looked for enjoyment, excitement, fun, always seeking after new challenges to overcome and people to beat. Especially when it comes to poker. He loves poker. He even still carries around the rebel’s playing cards in his pocket.

Outside the continuity of his story, Kijima has had several encounters with Damien. He quickly learned how easy it is to annoy Damien and Damien has since become his favorite person to tease and provoke.

Kijima likes to talk during fights, commenting on things conversationally or taunting his opponent. He is also several times physically stronger, tougher, and faster than a normal human (if you didn’t read the first paragraph). He likes to fight up close in person, not just using the blades on his gauntlets, but also clawing with his hands, kicking with his steel toed/heeled shoes, kneeing, elbowing, biting, head butting, really anything it takes to win. If things get really dicey-and he starts taking things seriously- he will grow quiet, and for once you might see his smile fade to a glare.
