Appearance: Typical looking Dewott. Slightly taller and thinner than normal. Bandages are wrapped on his chest and left shoulders from injuries sustained in Cactus Field.

Accessory:
Gritty Grapple-A grappling hook made from Gigant cactus spines and cord woven from cactus fibers. It's very light and strong, though the sharp points of the spines can cause injury if handled carelessly. Allows the use of Rock Climb.

Expedition Cap-A gift from Luke as a commemoration for arriving Geoda. A cap with Explorer's Guild logo and a neck-flip made of cactus fabric made in Cactus Field that can withstand three hours of harsh sunlight and sandstorm.

Template Scarf-A green scarf meant for standard Hunters issue. The replacement for the old scarf he ditched in Cactus Field.

Derek’s ridiculously high strength came from his mastership of swordplay. Paired with his high speed he is virtually unstoppable. His lack of thinking earned him low intelligence stat. Maybe is easy-going life style isn’t attractive enough to make his charisma stat a bit lower than it should be.

History
Pre-Initiation
Derek hailed from Iapon. His father died when he was little and was raised in a single family. Started his own journey out of Iapon at age of 10, still an Oshawott, after being sick and tired of the traditional life style back in Iapon. Met Max, a Riolu back then, during a job gone wrong and they partnered up together for their journey.

Several years later the pair was forced to part way, for Derek was called back to Iapon to tend of his sickened mother. Max continued his own journey for a about a year then stumbled into Andalusst.

Joining
Derek’s mother recovered from her illness, but she still died from a freak accident weeks after recovery. Derek then decided to leave Iapon for good, and restarted his journey as an explorer and occasional arms-for-hire. He was hired as a bodyguard for a group of merchants heading for Geoda, and got themselves ambushed by local bandits in Cactus Field. Max’s crew happened to show up and save Derek again.

After settling down in Cactus Field, Max invited Derek to partner up again, and for the sake of their prolonged friendship, he agreed with a grin. Since then, Derek moved into Max’s house and started living with him.

Max is Derek’s old friend and partner. They had years of partnership that backed up their friendship and they trust each other completely.

Trivia
-He wanna be the very best, like no one ever was.
-Often poses in front of a mirror and fantasizes to be a great hero of sort.
-Has a sloppy Iaponese despite being from Iapon. He prefers to speak in English and Mandarin.
