Phew! I feared I wouldn't finish this in time but it looks like I made it. This is my entry for 's contest. The theme was fantasy horses in a Halloween or Fall environment. So I chose both!  I never drew anything on Fall time. It was fun to do it. So many pretty colors. I loved doing it.

It's been ages since the last time I drew a outdoors background and I am happy it turned out this nicely. Since this piece is themes around ponies, I chose to try and make a more MLP FiM-like environment. I gotta say... it was really fun to paint all this! Though because I had short time to get things done, was doing this sort of environment for the first time and a few other reasons, I had to use some pre-made vectors to fill in some elements of the picture.

The bushes, the clouds and the house in the far distance, behind the tree, are all vectors. I was making it all myself but the results I was obtaining were deplorable. It was going to take too long for me to get them right so I went on full "screw it, I'm using vectors" mode. Much nicer results and a lot of time saved.

Oh yes. I almost forgot. Folks, I'd like you to meet Thunder Skies! He's Silver Trot's younger brother (only a year younger). And yes, he's a pegasus pony, even though Silver Trot is a unicorn.
