Deep wounds

Its been a few weeks now since Caradoc was in the hospital. His wounds slowly healed, so now he was able to make small walks in the facility's park. He was sitting on a bench, trying to enjoy the autumn sun on his skin. Despite his healing process the male was still an emotional wreck. Dark circles were under his eyes, suffered in insomnia and depression. He thought it will be better later, but it didn't. He was scared to sleep, fearing  his enemies will appear in his room and kill him. The doctors gave him some pills for his nerves, but they were only temporary solution.

Caradoc took a deep, wheezing sigh and rubbed his wrapped up arm, trying to move it a little.

“I wonder when they return...” muttered to himself. While he was convalesce, everyone he knew was on a mission in Geoda. It wasn't that he wanted to join, he just missed those he loved. The bisharp leaned his head behind, thinking about something. It was buzzing in his mind for a while now, he was just unsure to do it or not. “Maybe I should have to stop...”

“Stop what?” the sudden voice made Caradoc shout and jump in his place. He rolled around to see a surprised litleo female on the other side of the bench and staring back at him. “Ahm, you okay?”

“D-don't s-scare me again...” wheezed the male, holding a hand on his chest, preventing his heart to bounce out its place.

“Ah sorry, didn't want to frighten you, Caradoc.” said the feline with an awkward smile.

“H-how do you k-know my name?” his stutter was worse than before.

“Let's just say, I heard what happened weeks ago. Gosh, those thugs really wrecked you.” Caradoc instinctively hugged himself, trying to stop his increasing shiver.

“I-if you just h-here to m-mock on me, t-then get lost... I-I don't need a-anyone's company...”

“Golly, not, I didn't mean to, I'm sorry.” she placed a soft paw onto his arm, trying to reassure the bisharp.

“T-then w-why you are here? A-and who are you?” muttered the male.

“Woops I forgot ta introduce mahself. The name is Sherry, I am the apprentice of the local smith's. I heard yer armor was destroyed, soooooooooooo I was thinking it would be a good opportunity to prove my ski-”

“I d-don't want a-a new armor...” the sentence stunned Sherry.

“What did ya say?”

“Y-you heard it! I-I d-don't want a new armor...” Caradoc stared at the ground, fist clenched. The litleo crawled closer, couldn't believe what she heard.

“You kiddin' right? You ARE a bisharp! A fighter! It's in yer blood, you can't change it.”

“Just look at me!” snapped Caradoc “What you see? A-a pathetic wreck! I can't fight anymore. I-I wasn't able to protect anyone I love. I-I failed...” his voice choked into a whimper “I'm s-scared... that they will return to destroy everyone I care about...”

“And you want to give up? Moron! It should have to be a reason to fight!” frowned Sherry.

“I-if I don't fight... t-then they just kill only me and leave ev-” in the next moment he received a huge slap on the face.

“Now stop this stupidity right here!” she barked “You just cowardly running away from your problems instead of facing them. You don't even thinking about your friends!”

“I d-do! All the time!”

“Oh really? Then they won't be sad if you die? Moron.” by her words Caradoc lowered his head, biting his lips. Probably she was right, he was too tired to think clearly. The cat sighed and scratched her mane before she gently patted the male's shoulder “Put yourself together, okay? Your friends are counting on you. Now give me your arm.” she said and from her apron pulled out a tape measure, measuring the length and width of his good arm and shoulder “And dun worry, when we finished, you will be as good as new.” Caradoc let her do it without a word, thinking. When she was done Sherry hopped down, placing a hand onto his knee.

“Hey, cheer up. Everything will be okay now. Believe me” smiled upon him.

“I-I will try...” he muttered whereof the cat nodded and waved bye.

“Then see you later. I have things to do” said and walked away. Caradoc watched her, then leaned back on the bench, closing his eyes to rest. He tried to believe her, wanted to believe her that everything will be okay again, but nothing was sure. The only thing he could do was to wait and see what will happen. And put himself together.
