Deviation Actions
This show is now closed for entries and extra images. Judging will take place 1/11/16.
Registration is CLOSED
All Extra Images are due the day before, the 9th.
Entry Images can be submitted the day of judging, the 9th, but there is no set time when the judging will occur. So it is highly advised that you get your entry images in by the 9th, or you risk not getting your entry submitted on time. As soon as judging begins, no further entries will be accepted.
The Rules
Tracing, Leasing, and Collabs are permitted.
In the event of a Collab, please assign it so one person does the background. That makes judging easier for us, so we can judge the background vs one persons gallery. Be sure to mention who did what in a collab somewhere in your show info.
Do not re-use old art- the entry must have been made after the creation date of this journal. This goes for training/arrival/extra images, too.
Backgrounds must be drawn and yours. You may re-use them for multiple entries.
Register as many horses as you want so long as they qualify, and you can get your entries in on time.
Only horses registered with Thoroughbred-Society may enter.
You must register for the class/classes you want to enter.
I may enter my own horses as well.
More than one horse may be entered through one image. Extra horses in the image must be divided up (For example, if you have 1 extra horse in your image it can only count towards one of your horses score). Separate stories must be written for each horse for them to count towards each horses score. Background will be judged the same towards both horses score.
The purses are divided as such: 62% for the first place finisher, 20% to the second, 10% to the third, 5% to the fourth, and 3% to the fifth place finisher. Lower placings do not receive a part of the purse.

LOCATION AND WEATHER
Images for inspiration
This months races will be held at White Blood Race Course, Pangea Isles. It is Winter on the Island. There is scheduled to be snowfall on and off throughout the day, so be sure to check the weather specifically for each show to make sure you are drawing the correct weather. The racetrack will not be plowed, so the snow will cover the dirt. The racing rail is black with the posts that go into the ground being purple (see here). Beside the first stretch is forestry with mountain ranges in the background (shown here but without the building in the back) and around the first turn to the second stretch is more forestry (shown here but the horses would be facing the other way since these are all Left-Handed races). Our race track has a path that leads up towards the grounds in the direction of the loading gates. We do not have any grand stands to sit at, so spectators may stand by or drive up to the racing rail. Bring your own chairs or use a tailgate if you would like. With the forest so close, there is possible wildlife along the way, including Printer the squirrel (shown here , here , here), deer, mountain lions, birds, etc. To put the background simply, if you draw the horses running to the left, you will see the outside rail of the track in the background with forestry behind the rail. If you draw your horses running to the right, you will have to draw the inside rail as well as the opposite side of the track in the background, with the forestry behind that. Also, Mountain Ranges are visible behind the forestry around the whole track. Remember that we don't have grand stands, so you may see people standing around the rail at any part.
For Dressage, the snow is covering the sand in the outdoor arena. Behind the arena is a hill with the tops of trees poking over the rim (hill shown here).
The Show Jumping takes place in one of our outdoor arenas. The fence-line is brown wood, with three planks across each post.
In Cross Country, all obsticals are natural or made of natural objects- fallen trees, boulders, streams, hills, logs tied together, etc.
If you are worried your background is incorrect, or your WIP is incorrect, etc, feel free to privately note me at any time so we can work it out together! The Temperature should be high of 40, low of 20 during the day so dress warm!
