Bullet; Red The Brawl is Currently Closed for Judging Bullet; Red

Deadline: December 31st

Welcome to the introduction of the seasonal Faction Brawl - a traditional night of fierce games and competition aimed toward deciding which faction will take a 3 month's reign as top dog, earning their entire team benefits. Those who participate will receive monthly perks, as well as the chance to earn awards:

How to Participate

First of all, you must choose a faction. Be careful with this choice, you only have one chance to change your mind, and only before any benefits have been utilized. (If you have bred your Tokota in either faction, you have utilized the benefits.) Once you have received confirmation from an admin that your choice has been recorded, you are free to enter.

Check out your faction mates here!

You do not need to pre-register, just be sure to include the following information in the artist's comments of your entry:

Tokotas' imports: ///
Faction: ///
Owner(s): ///
Extra images: ///
Bonses: ///

Then, submit your entry to the Faction Brawl Gallery. If your entry is not submitted and accepted to the folder before the deadline, it will not be counted.

Rules

  • Literature is accepted and a minimum of 1500 words is required.
  • All entries must be fullbody (75% of Tokota showing), with a clean background and at least semi (30%+) visible handler.
  • Tracing stock photos is permitted as long as you credit the source.
  • No line-arts, templates, or re-colored images.
  • You may NOT commission an entry for a brawl. Entries must be either collaborated or your own work.
  • You may only bring up to TWO of your own Tokotas to each brawl. If you only own one Tokota, you may lease another from a faction mate (or an admin/started Tokota, if desired).
  • The brawl will not be judged if there are less than five entries per team.
  • You must follow each class requirements.

Judging

Faction brawls are mostly judged with a random scoring (on an RNG scale of 1-100). However, there are methods of increasing your score:
  • +5 for depicting one full body(75% +)  tokota belonging to a faction mate.
  • +5 for correct background (read class information).
  • +10 if the piece is a collaboration between you and a faction mate.
  • +10 for the depiction of a rival (opposite faction) Tokota, full body(75% +).
  • +# Traits and companion bonuses.
  • +5 for Full Body Colored Christmas/Holiday themed bonus image. Must be of tokota(s) participating.

Classes will have individual winners, but the faction points will be added up at the end of the competition to decide which faction had the most success. Winning a faction brawl may not determine whether or not the faction becomes dominant depending on the amount of points already held, but it will grant a significant boost.

Brawl Classes

It has long been a debate between Prestige Breeders and Pack Leaders: who has the best Tokotas? These classes are aimed to provide a middle ground between both skill sets.

Log Pull

Prompt

The soaring pines creak eerily as night settles around you. You travel into the coniferous forest, completely engulfed in thick fog. It's quiet, almost too quiet. Suddenly you hear a clink, and then another. Rattling chains begin to echo through the trees before you find the source. The fog refuses to dissipate yet you make out the silhouettes of those around you. Teammates and rivals spill out from the trees.
"TIMBER"! A tall pine falls just meters from you, pine needles splintering across the ground. An encore of crashing noises flood the cold night air. Handlers shouting and tokotas panting, the forest is no longer silent.  After double checking your tokota's harness you race for the nearest log. You and your tokota must gather and haul as many logs as possible. The team that pull the most trees the furthest distance, wins.

1 handler required per harness team (single or duos).

Ski-Jouring

Prompt

Get out your skis for this next event and hold on tight. It's midnight in the Alaskan wilderness and the fog has lifted. The moon effortlessly brightens the sky but only for moments at a time. The clouds quicken to conceal it and a freezing wind rips through the air.
It's a race to the finish line as your tokota pulls your across a frozen tundra plain. Think that's too easy? The trail then leads you through a forest, although sparse, watch out for fallen snow covered trees. The trail then takes you down a mountain side. Your hearts are pounding and your energy fading as you master the near vertical descent. Paws reaching and faces freezing, only the hardiest of tokotas and handlers will have made it this far, determined to cross the finish line.

1 handler required per harness team (single or duos).

Ice Floe Flat Race

Prompt:

You tiredly look towards the night sky. It seems the sun should be rising at any time, yet the night is still black and the stars still bright. The clouds have subsided and the winds have died down. Northern lights dance across the sky. Its seems too peaceful now. Then, the gun shot echoes through the freezing air and your racing again. Except now on the back of your tokota. Your hands grip fist fulls of mane and your legs tightly hug your tokota's side as you surge forward, bareback, across a frozen lake. Your tokota quickly, yet carefully maneuvers over loose ice flows, spraying icey water at your rivals. Try to make it to the finish line with out freezing first.
