Idiot of the West - Chapter 5

[The next morning, Rodney was on the floor, hiccups and wakes up to a clinic]

Rodney: Huh? Hey mister, where the heck is I?

Hector: You’re in the clinic.

Rodney: What in Sam hill’s a clinic?

Hector: It’s a magical place where people get healed.

Rodney: Oh, why that’s mighty neighborly, partner, put ‘er there! (shakes Hector’s hand)

Hector: Uh… yes thank you… (wipes his hands) Anyway, you’re that boy who sent that Isaac fella out of town.

Rodney: Darn tootin’! But I gots a feelin’ in my pockets that he might be back…

Hector: Um Rodney?

Rodney: Ahh!! (sees fire ants in his pockets and runs out from the clinic)

Hector: He’s nuts! (laughs)

Gwen: Who is nuts?

Hector: (points at Rodney) that guy over there. (Hector and Gwen see Rodney running like a maniac with ants crawling on him)

Rodney: Someone help me! (screams)

Bessie: (holding a bucket of water) Rodney, hold still! (pours on him) you’re all right?

Rodney: Yeah… just fine… (falls to the ground)

Thomas: Don’t look now Rodney, but someone’s giving you the hawk eye. (points to Belle)

[Rodney sees Belle laughing at him for his fire ant act and smiles; meanwhile, Isaac and his men came charging out of nowhere back to town]

Isaac: Rodney!! I’M CALLING YOU OUT!!

Rodney: Uh oh!

Isaac: Men, hog-tie them! [Isaac’s men hogtied Rodney, Thomas and Bessie and put them in their buffalo] Now get out of my TOWN! [Isaac whacks the buffalo from behind and runs them out of town] Finally, the town’s mine! Everyone clear out!

[Back at the hot desert Rodney and his friends freed themselves but sees their buffalo tired]

Thomas: He got us again…

Bessie: What’re we gonna do Rodney?

Rodney: I… I reckon I don’t know… We need help… [Rodney and his friends went walking on the desert and sees a deserted town but they all fainted from the heat]
