Personality: A social mare, Merabella just wants to be appreciated and admired. Although she doesn't like being ordered around, she will generally agree with and follow the lead of the strongest personality around her.


Story: Merabelle was born to a strongly magical mother and father in the Boucle kingdom. Though they had fallen far from their more powerful forebearers they still thought themselves as individuals who chose to serve the kingdom of humans in a time of need; or at least they did until Merabelle was separated from her family and rudely informed that not only was she being sent out of the kingdom, but that she was now owned by a human. Though the human was a good one, and never asks her to do more than stand for grooming and appear beautiful in halter shows, Merabelle chafed at the loss of her previous freedom and wished she could be left to pursue her magical talents at her leisure. One night she was contacted in a dream by a strange orange pony who promised to whisk her away and teach her magic. Despite some minor misgivings, Merabelle went with the mare.

Though her teachings go well at first, Merabelle eventually hits a mental block with her magic. Aella sends her home, to the Boucle kingdom, in hopes that this will get her in touch with her roots and resolve the issue. Instead of finding her family, Merabelle finds a unicorn in dire need of assistance.
