Guadalupe is a very boisterous young woman who knows exactly what she wants and how she's going to get it. Once she sets her mind to a goal, there is no deterring her from it, especially not from outside forces. She believes strongly in the benefits of hard work; she believes strongly in a lot of things, actually, and has no problem vocalizing what she stands for. However, one of those values is not generosity, for her mindset is somewhat egocentric and she prioritizes herself over other people. This doesn't make her unkind though. She treats all people fairly and doesn't discriminate based on appearances when it comes to a person's character. She offers a sympathetic ear, occasionally even advice, when she feels like people would want it from her, but she won't go out of her way to comfort another person, and she wouldn't do it if it were an inconvenience for her. She's free-spirited and doesn't like structure forcefully imposed on her; as such, she tends to oppose many commands given to her, especially if they go against her own desires. She will, however, make plans if they will further her own goals. (Her will only bends for a certain few, but it takes an almost impossible amount of effort for her to cede to someone.) She's also a bit of a flirt, flattering any girl she finds attractive and any male who may show an indication of being attracted to her, not like she would ever date a guy. She does it for the reactions. Despite being emotionally driven by whims from time to time, she prefers to prepare for the imminent future as much as possible, and doesn't believe in sloppy work. 

Likes:
-Girls. Girls as friends, girls as girlfriends, girls as gal pals, girls as eye candy. Don't get her wrong, she doesn't hate guys. She just really loves girls.

-Marshmallows are delicious. Just saying. 

-She loves looking classy because, well, it's classy. Who wouldn't love that aesthetic? Not even a little? Really?

Dislikes:
-Being told what to do. Who are you to tell her what decisions she should make? 

-People addicted to chewing gum are annoying, with the snapping sound made when it's blown into bubbles, and the disrespectful air surrounding it.

-She definitely will call out anyone who pulls manipulative maneuvers on her. She's already had to put up with that growing up, and she's not falling back into that. 

History: 

Her father was highly successful on the stock market, and kept the family running financially. That was, until he made a bad investment, and the family lost both their finances and their dignity. And in the case of Guadalupe's parents, their personal standards.

Back when their family had money, it wasn't difficult to instill good morals because life hadn't called for desperation. Work hard, think smart, be kind, stand up for what you believe in, listen to what your parents say. So in light of her family situation and what her parents were telling her now, she felt more than just a little conflicted, and with enough pressure, she caved.

Her mother, loving but materialistic, couldn't let go of the extravagant lifestyle that they had before, and she didn't want her friends to know that she had crashed and burned (well, that her husband did), so she urged Guadalupe to start shoplifting. And against her better judgement she did, because she needed to listen to her mother, right?

Her father wanted to keep a tight hold on their finances and told Guadalupe to find some money on her own. Seeing that she was only eleven, she couldn't find a job. Her dad flippantly but in all seriousness said, "Pick-pocket people." So because she a) wanted to make her parents proud and b) didn't want to use up all of her parents' money like they said she would, she did just that.

The worst part was that she knew that everything she did was morally incorrect, and it went so obviously against what she wanted to do. She would feel physically sick over doing it, but it was part of her survival. And she did all that she could to make sure that she remembered that it was wrong, and she vowed that once she was able to leave her household she'd get back on the right path.

So the moment she could, she left her parents' home, although at each place she settled she still couldn't shake the habits that she had earned. But she was coping a lot better with it, finding ways to make an honest living despite what she did. And for a while it worked, until she was fired for being caught trying to steal her boss's diamond ring.

The next place to try was Ivywood, where she was given a few job options. While she was able to choose something more conventional, she honestly did not feel that she had the skills for it, and settled on the job that she felt like she could perform better: a thief.
