Sekhmet-class Concept Art

First off: fair warning that this is a pretty big image.  Anyway, here's a look at the evolution of the 2D concept art for the Sekhmet-class tactical cruiser from my Star Trek: Frontlines fan-fic.  I had originally envisioned the Sekhmet as looking something like a hybrid of the Dauntless ( memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/US… ) and the Achilles ( memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Ach… ) from the Dominion Wars PC game.

The 1st phase (top images) dates back to around 2006 when I first started drawing.  Originally the Sekhmet was going to have a Miranda-esque roll-bar with 16 torpedo launchers (8x fore, 8x aft).  However, as you can tell from the rough sketches of the front view this didn't look so good, so I scrapped the idea (see Phase 2, middle images).  With Phase 3, I curved the edges of the saucer after feedback that the saucer was too pointy.  Phase 4 and 5 were attempts do something with the secondary hull.

Considering that the Sekhmet is very important to the story of Frontlines, It will probably be the first Starfleet design I attempt to do in Sketchup.

-Size: 575 m long, 375 m wide, 128 m tall (as stated in the story, is subject to change)
-Weapons: 17x Type-XII phaser arrays, 25x Type-X-C PDPC's (Point Defense Phaser Clusters), 12x Type-XI-P Pulse phaser cannons (8x fore, 4x aft), 10x Torpedo launchers (6x fore, 4x aft), 1x Mark-I Phased plasma cannon
-Quantum Slipstream capable (max stable time is 3 minutes)
-Ships of the line: U.S.S. Sekhmet NX-75506, U.S.S. Athena, U.S.S. Minerva
