Baeryn found his Lapizarr via a trader passing through Hawthorn, the young Lochesh had been given permission to find a familiar for his new shadowdrak and it was the small geko he chose for his own after finding the lizard curled up in Ànyǐng's fur. THe boy had accompanied his mother to Hawthorn for the Botanical Guild and was wandering as she worked. Exploring the traders tents and stalls he found the pet-district and Ànyǐng found himself with a hitchhiker.
After a bit of explaining Baer bought the little lizard his drak seemed to have claimed and the two have proven inseparable ever since.
