Story Quest 3: Ransacked at the Banquet!After a long day out and about enjoying the autumn afternoon you return to wonderful savory smells filling the hallways. As you walk into the Crystal Cavern’s main hallway you are met with a single very long table with all sorts of meats and side dishes on it. Once everyone stopped trickling in and took their seats there was a soft clinking of a spoon on glass that caused a silence to fall. “Good evening and thank you so much for coming tonight. The chaos of the smoke bomb and break ins slowly settles down as the Trinity calls you all together in the main hall. You find yourself gathering and mingling with your Crystal Sisters, some in their fukus, some in civilian form, listening to their recounts of the interrupted feast. Some were more in depth than others, some were scared, some were angry, most were just confused as to what had actually happened, how and why. You watch the Trinity's reactions to everyone as each girl reports in. Their expressions ranged from concern and confusion to outright anger and annoyance as they listened intently. Finally, once everyone had taken their turn, the three women turned to address the group.
“It seems many of you have have unfortunately been victim to a thief among us,” Amethyst Dragon looks out to the crowd as she speaks, her massive wings give a small shake as she tries to keep her calm, “Someone has taken advantage of us, using the smoke bomb accident as distraction to sneak into rooms and steal personal items.”
“Their reasons are as of yet unknown,” Diamond Unicorn put a reassuring hand on her Mythic Companion and stepped forward, her voice steady and clear, “But we do have some clues.” She holds up one of the black beads recovered from several of the rooms, “They've left behind these small pearls and we have reason to believe they are still here somewhere. Please, stay safe and watch out for each other while we find out who did this.”
Moonstone Kirin took her turn next, “We will be doing our best to step up security, we do not want anyone feeling unsafe here. If you need anything, just ask. In the meantime, we will be conducting an all out search for the culprits. Anyone wishing to volunteer to help may do so, but please, do be careful.”
“Report any clues you may find in your search, and if you see anyone suspicious, do not engage them, do not fight them.” Amethyst Dragon's voice held a hint of a growl, “we do not want to see you hurt. However, if you think you are able to subdue them without incident, by all means do so and come to us quickly so that we may deal with them properly. We take theft very seriously. We WILL catch whoever did this.”
