• DD Suggestion Drive

  
  I know many of you have already sent me tons of cool DD suggestions. DDSuggestionDrive is a group encouraging deviants to write more DD suggestions. They currently have a contest running from 1st to 29th of February, during which your task is to write as many DD suggestions as possible. The more, the higher your chance of winning! They are giving away tons of prizes, so it's worth it!

  1. Can you give us a little insight as to what goes on in your mind when you create your pieces? Where do your ideas stem from?
  Good question, because I was a long time in the period of the absolute lack of original ideas, the banal works, with the main focus on "something beautiful". With the exception of my series of allegorical still lifes and still a pair other - all rest or illustrations and covers (many I can not even publish here); or technical exercises, which far from what is called inspiration. However, not everything is so bad, I again found my muse and soon you will see a slightly different direction in my work (I hope).

• Manip Academy 2.0

  
  We have plans to start a new round of Manip Academy articles, a series of short photomanip tips run by the community. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, see this link which will lead you to the previous Manip Academy project: fav.me/d7qinxg
  The idea behind the project is that writing entire tutorials is difficult and time consuming, when on the other hand it can be so easy to simply share an easy trick to achieve a certain effect. Everyone is invited to participate! Let us know if you would like to contribute with something. Stay tuned for further updates on that matter during the next month!
  

• Project Educate is renovating

  
  projecteducate [the group to help you learn about certain topics all around (deviant-)art] is currently undergoing some big changes. One of them is that you can now host your own weeks to share news and information with your fellow deviants. The new motto is quality over quantity, so feature weeks require a smaller number of articles or may even run only during the weekend. More info here:

  Project Educate is an ongoing endeavor for the Community Relations team -- one we have a lot of passion for and one that we want to lead as successfully as possible. These past few months we have been analysing feedback from the community and from our own team with regards to what we've been doing well here at projecteducate and what we should consider improving upon. We'd like to roll out a series of changes in 2016 in an effort to better cater to the community and offer you all new, long overdue opportunities.
  We want projecteducate to be a place where everybody feels welcome; where everybody has a chance to teach, to learn and to lead. Below you will find some of the core changes we will be implementing within the next few weeks:

  We plan to start an article series highlighting some of the outstanding photomanip groups around dA. Many active groups offer useful tips and resources, organize contests, feature their members or do other interesting stuff that makes being a member super worthwhile.   Stock and Resources Newsletter: January 2016NEWS
  Last week was the Stock and Resources Project Educate week! It went well and we had some awesome articles.  If you're not familiar with projecteducate is a project to promote and support artistic growth and knowledge throughout the community. The project includes contests, interviews, and various other events for artistic and community involvement. If you'd like to participate in Project Educate, you can note the group and they'll help you get started. Anyone can write articles and share their knowledge.
  A new year means it's time for some new community projects! The first one I want to share is being ran by Aeirmid and CelticStrm-Stock. It's a project about making positive changes in your life and they are looking for people to join in. For more information check out the journal here:

  So I had a month worth of notifications to check out, I'm sure you all know how long it takes to do that! I still have another 70something stacks of art to check, but so far I've cleaned all my journals and comments/replies for the last month, and I've gone through so much amazing art that my faves gallery increased in ridiculous amounts.
  So this is a feature mostly of stuff that was posted or featured in December, even though I'm sure a few artworks from 2016 are going to slip in, I won't be fretting over the dates.
