Description

Here is show of time in my inking, this one isnt for speed so much as where i was in a zen state of inking. Not rushing how much progress and correct line i used.

1) This was my half hour point.
I like to start with faces, they are where you look first and where mistake call ruin the whole image. Human then others. Then i work out from thier, sometimes flowing with the person or planes of sight, other times i skip all over to keep myself interested in the process or just because that is how it goes. No rime or reason usually. Tho Bob McCloud told me to work from top left (right handed) to the bottom as a rule to keep from smudging. Sound advise.
2) Here is the Hour mark.
Filled a bit more but still going at it.
3) Now this was 2 hours.
Reason was filling black takes alot of time to do it so its not a mess, The corrections in line weights and mistakes, and finally the special effects (fx) on it. Stopped for the night as i did it from 2am-4am.
4) The final image result. Joy, pure joy.
Now this phase took about another hour or two. I filled out the sponge work above Jack's head as i had missed that along with what was next to his arm. Then after showing to my girl she suggested i should fill it out as Aku is not empty space so we came up with this in the final, his body going from solid black to the smoky swirl grey. I had envisioned it being more ink in water but couldnt pull it off so i opted for the effect i got here.

This time lapse like juxtapose is a example of ow the ink process can work with a starting point and then transform to a finished ink.
